Today, we gathered at the future site of our new South Placer Health Center to begin the next phase of construction with a ceremonial groundbreaking. We were joined by:

· Members of the Chapa-De Newsletter Committee
· Members of our sponsoring tribe, the United Auburn Indian Community

An opening blessing was offered by Alan Wallace and was followed by Sonia Keller Lapointe, the drum keeper of Mother Drum Ishka, as she led a women’s drum circle of traditional song. We thank all who joined us on this day as we move one step closer to opening our doors in late 2026.

The sun rose today over the site of our future South Placer health center to show the amazing work being done to prepare the land for construction. By building this health center, we look forward to making a space that is healing for more than just the body but also the entirety of the person.

We are excited to announce that work on our new South Placer location is underway! Contractors began the groundwork for this new 62,000-square-foot health center that will host medical, dental, behavioral health services, and more.

We are honored to join the Rocklin community and look forward to opening wider access to healthcare for our South Placer community.

Anticipated opening in late 2026. Stay tuned for updates!
