Today, we were happy to welcome Supervisor Anthony DeMattei, Cristina Rivera, Chief of Staff for Supervisor Anthony DeMattei, and Frank Udvarhely, Chief of Staff for Supervisor Suzanne Jones from the Placer County Board of Supervisors. They visited our third location, Chapa‑De Indian Health South Placer, now being built in Rocklin.

They took time out of their busy schedules to learn more about how we are growing care and services for our communities. It was a great chance to share our goals and explain how this new location will help patients once it opens.
Thank you for visiting and for your continued support of quality, accessible care in Placer County.

We are excited to keep moving forward with the South Placer health center and look forward to opening our doors to the community in early 2027.

We’re one step closer to opening! 🎉 On December 18, we celebrated a big milestone at the site of our future South Placer Health Center. Our Topping Off Ceremony marked the placement of the final beam in the 62,000-square-foot building. When it opens, this center will offer medical, dental, and behavioral health services for Native Americans and those with Medi-Cal and Medicare. This expansion will bring Chapa-De care to 15,000 more people in our community.

Exciting progress is underway at our future South Placer health center in Rocklin! Here's a quick look at what’s happening on-site:

✅ Concrete footings have been poured to support the structural walls
✅ Foundation walls are being formed and poured
✅ Underground utilities and electrical infrastructure are in progress
✅ Construction has begun on a beautiful retaining rock wall. This is a key landscape feature that will enhance the site’s natural beauty

We’re thrilled to see the foundation of our newest location taking shape. This center will expand access to care in the South Placer region, and we can’t wait to welcome you when doors open in early 2027!

📍 Exciting day at our Rocklin construction site!

We were honored to welcome California State Assemblyman Joe Patterson and Field Representative Victor Wolfe for a visit and tour of our South Placer Health Center project. It was a great opportunity to share how this new facility will expand access to essential health care services for Medi-Cal and American Indian patients in our region.

A heartfelt thank you to UAIC Tribal Chair and Chapa-De Board Member John Williams, as well as our amazing partners at Jax Construction and S&B James Construction for their support and collaboration.

Today, we gathered at the future site of our new South Placer Health Center to begin the next phase of construction with a ceremonial groundbreaking. We were joined by:

· Members of our sponsoring tribe, the United Auburn Indian Community

An opening blessing was offered by Alan Wallace and was followed by Sonia Keller Lapointe, the drum keeper of Mother Drum Ishka, as she led a women’s drum circle of traditional song. We thank all who joined us on this day as we move one step closer to opening our doors in late 2026.
