Notice: As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing patient, visitor and care team member safety, we will be making some changes to door access at MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital.

Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 20, all patients and visitors will need to enter through the main hospital entrance, located at 6 Glen Cove Drive. The rear entrance near the cafeteria will be locked and available only to employees with badge access. This change helps us direct patients and visitors to our dedicated patient access team and better manage visitor flow during busy times or during unforeseen events.

Update: MaineHealth Walk-in Care Rockland will be open tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 10, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We previously reported that the practice would be closed due to staffing shortage, but we have since been able to secure coverage.

Join us, in partnership with Coastal Mountains Land Trust, for a guided 4.4-mile hike at Erikson Fields Preserve in Rockport on Thursday, Jan. 8, at 10 a.m. The full hike offers the option to summit Beech Hill and go inside the Beech Nut, a historic stone hut atop the hill with views of Penobscot Bay. In observance of New Year’s Day, today, Thursday, Jan. 1, the following holiday hours are in effect:
• The retail pharmacy at Pen Bay Hospital will be open for abbreviated hours, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• All physician practices, including walk-in care in Rockland will be closed.
• Outpatient labs, radiology and cardiac testing will be closed.

All practices and departments will resume normal business hours on Friday, Jan. 2.

As a reminder, the emergency department remains open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
