“With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for the time we shared, we remember our beautiful friend Loma McMahon.
✨ In Loving Memory of Loma McMahon ✨
Today our Pilates Place family pauses to remember and honor our beautiful friend and client, Loma McMahon who passed away over the weekend.
Loma exuded love. It was simply who she was. The kind of warmth and kindness that made people feel welcomed the moment they walked into the room.
A cancer survivor, Loma carried that strength with determination and grace. She showed up ready to move, grow stronger, and continue overcoming.
In the studio, Loma was truly a student of Pilates. She didn’t just go through the motions. She worked to understand the exercises, memorize the order, and honor the method. She wanted to learn it and took pride in doing the work well.
Every Monday and Friday at 1:00pm, Loma came for her duo sessions with her dear friend Vicki Buck. Over time those sessions became something really special. The two of them filled the studio with friendship, laughter, and encouragement. Through those afternoons together we all became close. It became more than exercise — it became community.
When Vicki recently lost her husband, this little Pilates family gathered around her with love and support, and Loma was right there in that circle. We created a Potluck club for her.
Loma also brought so much joy and laughter. She was incredibly funny and never took herself too seriously. Even when something was challenging, she would laugh, shake her head, and try again.
If you knew Loma, you also knew she was always fashionable. During Cancer Survivor Month she showed up in coordinated outfits, February was all 💕, and Christmas always brought its own festive sparkle.
Outside the studio, Loma adored her family and spoke of them often with pride. She especially loved her husband Bobby, who we often joked was “on loan” to The Pilates Place for the occasional honey-do project around the studio. Their love and partnership were always easy to see.
More than anything, Loma brought light into our space. As a woman of faith, the kindness and love she carried so naturally was the Holy Spirit shining through her life.
She will be deeply missed at The Pilates Place.
Her laughter, determination, style, and beautiful spirit will always remain part of this studio.
🕊️
Monday and Friday at 1:00pm will always carry a little of Loma’s light.
We trust that Loma’s beautiful spirit is now resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord, reunited with her beloved son and the loved ones who went before her.
With love,
Toni & The Pilates Place Family
