Join our team as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist. This full-time career opportunity has a Monday - Friday day shift schedule, and is located at one of our outpatient imaging facilities.

Our center currently uses the only Positional MRI manufactured by FONAR and provides imaging services to patients in a friendly and comfortable environment.

As a MRI Technologist you'll:

Perform MRI exams on incoming patients;
Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner under physician supervision.
Monitor patient's well being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
Assist radiologists as required.
May occasionally travel to our nearby outpatient centers to help with coverage if needed.

Job Requirements

We're looking for experienced and professional candidates who are able to independently perform all outpatient MRI procedures with high quality results. ARRT(R) certification with Maryland State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, CPR certification, one year of recent MRI work experience preferred. Good communication skills are a must.

The most important job - meeting the needs of patients in a courteous, professional environment.

This role requires cross training in several areas including Front Office, Insurance Authorizations, Scheduling, and Medical Records.

Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling/confirmation of patient appointments, reviewing prior histories, communication with Radiologist, MRI Technologist, workflow tracking including cash collection and insurance information.

*Responsibilities: Basic Duties*

Schedule appointments
Work-in stat patients, and patient cancellations with a positive attitude.
Communicate with Radiologist/Technologist all changes to patient schedule or orders.
Proactively work the schedule to ensure patients are on time
Communicate to patients any delays in their appointment time.
Follow to HIPPA requirements.
Requires ability to multi-task and prioritize. Work well under occasional pressure.
Requires ability to demonstrate good judgment and follow all policies as they relate to attendance, dress code, safety, timesheets, reporting procedures and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Treat patients, referring physicians and co-workers in a courteous, respectful manner.
Remain flexible with patient schedule and other changes in working conditions.
May be required to work at different sites or in various capacities as priorities require.
