Shooting is obviously one way to stay well regulated. Learning how to defend your family is very important, but so is taking care of your physical well being. Eating healthy and going to the gym/staying physically active is equally important.
While shooting is a perishable skill, eating healthy and working out are both similar in that regard. While maybe not a “skill” It’s very easy to slip away from a healthy lifestyle, and start down a downward spiral of eating more and more poor choices in food and letting the gym days slip away one by one. It makes it exponentially harder to get back into that habit.
Start acknowledging where you’re falling short and start getting back into your routine. Start eating healthy, start getting active, start reading, start practicing marksmanship and fundamentals. Even if it’s only one day a week, you can build from that and start developing your habits to get well regulated and stay well regulated.
