There’s so much noise around birth… and so many half-truths about support.

But you were never meant to walk into this alone 🤍

Doulas don’t replace your partner—
they strengthen the entire support system around you.

They don’t change your birth into something it’s not—
they help you feel confident in whatever path it takes.

If you’ve been unsure about having support…
take this as your invitation to learn what’s actually possible ✨

Your due date is not an expiration date 👀

It’s not a deadline.
It’s not a timer running out.
And it definitely doesn’t mean your baby is “late” the second that day passes.

What it actually is… is an estimate 🤍

Most babies don’t arrive on their exact due date—
they come when they’re ready.

Which is why so many moms end up feeling pressure, frustration, or even fear when that date comes and goes.

But your body isn’t failing.
Your baby isn’t behind.
You’re not “overdue” the way it’s often made to feel.

You’re still within a normal, healthy window ✨

This is why understanding your options, your body, and your birth matters so much—
so you can walk into those last weeks feeling confident instead of rushed.

Save this for later + send it to a mama who needs the reminder 🤍

As a doula… THIS is my favorite thing to witness 🤍

A husband who is present.
Intentional.
All in.

Not standing in the corner.
Not unsure what to do.
But locked in with his wife—supporting her through every wave.

And here’s the truth most people don’t talk about:

👉 A doula is NOT there to replace dad.
👉 A doula is there to support HIM so he can support HER.

Because most men want to help…
they just haven’t been shown how.

That’s where I come in—
guiding, encouraging, and helping him step confidently into that role.

So what does that actually look like? 👇🏼

✨ Holding her close (hello oxytocin boost)
✨ Reminding her to drink + stay nourished
✨ Speaking calmly and confidently to her
✨ Controlling the environment (music, lights, who’s in the room)
✨ Being her voice when she’s deep in labor
✨ Grounding her when things feel intense

It’s not about having all the “right” moves—
it’s about being present, steady, and connected.

And when a woman feels safe and supported like this?
Her entire birth experience shifts.

Dads, you matter more than you know in that room.
And moms—you deserve this kind of support. 🤍

There’s a big difference between consent and informed consent… and most moms are never taught that.

When someone says, “I’m just gonna check you,” or “I’m just gonna do this real quick,”
that doesn’t give you space to understand, ask questions, or say no.

Informed consent means:
You know what’s being done
You know why it’s being recommended
You understand the risks + alternatives
…and you’re given the space to say yes OR no

Anything less than that isn’t truly informed—and it’s not real consent.

And in birth—when you’re vulnerable, focused, and overwhelmed—
that responsibility shouldn’t fall on you alone.

✨ This is why preparation matters
✨ This is why your support person matters
✨ This is why advocacy in the room matters

Because you deserve to feel respected, informed, and in control of what happens to your body.

If you hear, “I’m just gonna…” — here’s how you take your power back:

🛑 “Please stop for a moment—I haven’t given consent yet.”

That one sentence creates space—
to breathe, to think, to actually choose.

From there, you can ask:
👉 “Can you explain that?”
👉 “Do I have other options?”
👉 “What are the risks?”
👉 “Can I have a minute to decide?”

And if it feels hard to speak up, this is where your partner or support person steps in and says it for you. 🤍

You deserve more than compliance.
You deserve true, informed choice.

“Even prior to pregnancy, I knew I would want a doula when the time came. Once it was time to actually came to hire someone, it was stressful knowing how important getting the right person was. But once we found Emma and had a phone call with her, I had such a peace knowing we had found the absolute best fit! Each meeting prior to labor helped so much in making us feel prepared - especially my husband. He said there was so much he didn’t know that he didn’t know - for that reason alone I would recommend hiring a doula especially if you are first time parents.

Fast forward to the day of our baby being born, Emma was like having an angel on earth with me all day. No matter what I was feeling, she maintained the most calming presence all day long. I labored at home for about 5-6 hours until arriving at the hospital already 10 cm dilated and she was with me at my bedside, outside the shower, in the bathroom, down the stairs, and so on. She had the most gentle way of asking/recommending that I try a new position or try to move around, but she was also so respectful and understanding when something wasn’t working for me.

She comes prepared with a bag of supplies which is so wonderful knowing you have lots of different coping tools if needed. She provided counter pressure all day and helped my husband to do the same. Another thing that helped SO much were the affirmations she said to me all day. I had absolutely no idea how much her words of encouragement would mean to me during each contraction. Having her with me all day just made me feel so supported, loved, and seen. My husband is everything to me and an amazing partner, but there was truly something about having Emma there that just made me feel “not alone”.

For me, contractions and pushing were both SO much more intense than I ever could have imagined and because of her, I was able to labor at home for much longer than I would’ve without her.

My husband and I both agreed that I could not have gotten through my unmedicated labor without her (although she told me I could). My goal from the beginning was for an unmedicated birth and she helped me in so many ways to make it happen even when I had my internal doubts of being able to see it through.

I would recommend a doula for everyone, but especially if you want to labor at home, or want to go natural/unmedicated.

Emma was a huge answer to prayer from the beginning, and looking back it is so obvious God orchestrated the day perfectly and she was meant to be a part of it. There is no doubt she has answered her calling and I’m so grateful to her for it.”

This year was never about numbers — it was always about mothers. 🤍

To the first-time moms who stepped into the unknown with courage and trust — you were brave beyond words.

To the second-time moms who chose healing, growth, and a different experience — rewriting your birth story takes deep strength.

Yes, the outcomes matter.

Unmedicated birth rates higher than average.
Cesarean rates lower than average.
Peaceful labors, informed decisions, and calm, supported births.

But there is something even more important behind every statistic:

There was prayer at every single birth.
Every mother was covered in prayer.
Every baby.
Every husband and father.
Every grandmother.
Every nurse.
Every doctor.

The Holy Spirit was invited into every birth space — and His presence was felt.

Because of that, there were zero conflicts with providers.
Every birth was navigated collaboratively.
Every care team was respected.
Every space remained peaceful — even when plans shifted.

And in the end, no matter the setting, provider, medication choice, or delivery outcome —
100% of mothers were satisfied with their birth experience.

That doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens when women are prepared, supported, advocated for — and when birth is treated as the sacred, holy work it truly is.

It has been an honor to stand in these rooms, to pray over these families, and to witness life enter the world in peace.

If you’re preparing for birth and desire support that honors your body, your voice, and God’s design, I’d love to connect. 🤍

Did you know doulas come in many forms? 💛

Birth doulas guide you through labor with steady support. Postpartum doulas help you heal, rest, and adjust in the early weeks. Fertility doulas walk with you through conception journeys. Bereavement doulas hold space through loss, grief, and the moments that feel too heavy to carry alone.

Every family’s path is different, and that’s why each type of doula exists — so you never have to move through any part of your story without support. If you’re exploring your options or unsure which doula fits your needs, I’m here to guide you.

Send me a message and let’s talk about the kind of support you’re looking for. 💛
