As we move into a new year, it’s never too late to pause, reflect, and intentionally choose what comes next.
In this episode of Feed Your Soul with Kim, I share the soulful New Year reflection practice I use every year to release what no longer serves me and invite in what I truly want.
This gentle, grounded process helps you look back on the past year with compassion without shame or pressure and move forward with clarity, intention, and peace.
You don’t have to have everything figured out. This is a living reflection you can return to throughout the year by crossing things out, adding new intentions, and allowing yourself to evolve.
If you’re craving a slower, more intentional way to enter the new year — one rooted in self-trust, clarity, and inner peace — this episode is for you.
Join us on the Feed Your Soul with Kim Podcast as we explore:
• Learn the 9 key areas to focus on as you reflect on the past and reimagine the future.
• Embrace a way to keep you focused this next year.
• Be guided through meaningful questions to help you recognize what worked, what was challenging and the lessons you are ready to carry forward.

If the days between Christmas and the New Year feel a little strange, tender, or quiet, you’re not alone.
After weeks of busyness and emotional effort, this in-between time can leave us feeling foggy, tired, reflective, or unexpectedly emotional. And yet, we so often tell ourselves we should be doing more, planning more, or feeling more motivated.
This week on the Feed Your Soul with Kim podcast, I released a very gentle episode created especially for this moment.
🎧 The In-Between Space: Caring for Your Body, Heart, and Spirit Between Christmas and the New Year
🦔This episode is not about resolutions or fixing yourself.
🦔It’s about slowing down.
🦔Listening inward.
🦔And honoring the pause before the new year begins.
In the episode, we explore:
• Why this in-between time can feel emotionally tender
• How your body may be asking for rest rather than discipline
• Making space for mixed emotions like relief, grief, gratitude, and fatigue
• Honoring stillness and reflection as a form of spiritual care
• Letting go of pressure to have clarity or a plan right now
Think of it as a soft place to land.
A reminder that you are not behind.
And that rest, slowness, and reflection are meaningful.

Do you have enough play in your life? I suspect the answer is no!

As adults we tend to focus on our to-do lists and all that we must get done during the day. The only time left over is the time we must rest.

We are introducing the idea of play as self-care, which then makes it critical to our overall wellness AND mental health.

In this episode of the Feed Your Soul with Kim Podcast, we look at how to reintroduce play into your life. Remember, as a child, play was your job. Let’s bring that back to our adulthood!

Join us in this Feed Your Soul with Kim Podcast where we answer the questions:

 Why is playing so important for self-care?
 3 ideas to help you determine what is playful.
 What is your plan for playing more?

Five years ago this month, I officially let go of my therapy office. I loved that office. It was cozy and comforting. At that time my daughter was going into middle school. I had always thought I would work from home when she was in middle school.
There was another complicating factor: COVID.
At that time, we were allowed to go back into the office one moment and told we couldn’t meet people in the office the next moment.
We were told we had to have masks, sit a certain distance away from each other.
The kicker for me was there was a suggestion we should put a plastic partition between ourselves and our clients.
I called it and let go of the office. I have been convinced, until recently, that I would not go back into the office. My practice has grown with people from all over California. When you work with Telehealth, there is a greater reach for clients.
Now, there is a HUGE push to go back into the office, and I am here for it!!!
I am glad to announce I will be seeing psychotherapy clients in my new office AND virtually, as well.
You get to decide what works for you.
My office is beautiful, and I invite you to see it. I’ll make a video showing you the room to help you feel more comfortable.
If you are a returning client or a new client, come on over and let’s see if my services are right for you.
