The Energy of spring correlates to the liver and gallbladder in TCM and it rises up. This energy is connected to the eyes; our vision both externally, what we see in the physical, but also our internal vision. The gallbladder supports us in discernment, our ability for decision making. Qigong flow is conscious movement to support our bodies physically and energetically, creating and maintaining balance and coherence from within.
A willingness to be present; present in what is truly here in each moment within ourselves, as well as presence with others. We can only know others as deeply as we are willing to meet ourselves; This is our internal vision. This requires willingness and courage to sometimes see the things we don't really like to look at. Patterns and behaviors we have engaged in throughout our lives. Often these behaviors and patterns developed from survival at some point in our lives. Yet today, in the times we live in now, we are being invited to observe from neutrality and reevaluate if we still need those patterns to thrive. Most of the time the answer is no; yet it requires courage to look and to choose differently, to allow a reconfiguration into something that better supports who we truly are, outside of what sparked us to create the survival patterns.
There are many modalities of doing this work and there is no right way. Qigong Flow, a meditation in movement, is but one way I practice presence, awareness, observation and cultivation of my own inner world and energy.
This flow is moving energy in 6 directions that qi flows, balancing expansion with contraction, both externally and internally. It is an invitation to a different view point, a way of seeing something in a new way, and circulates qi or energy through the body and energy channels. Spring is a time of beginnings, new growth both in nature and within each of us.
Practice this flow with the intention of letting go of how it should be, how it was, with a willingness to open to new possibilities. Invite a new perspective.
