Pick With Austin is celebrating our 16th year of providing services to the community as a 501c3.

When we first started, we were cautioned that a lot of non-profits don't make it past their first year, but I knew that what we had planned would live a long, long time (and now it is in Detroit too!).

Many non-profit's start up because they see it as a tax-exempt opportunity, while many others start up because they really believe in the cause that they are supporting. I have seen a lot of interesting non-profits over the years... One that comes to mind was "For the appreciation of drinking wine." I kid you not. :)

Some don't even make it to their first day of operation... and so I'm very proud of how much we have done, and for so long.

Some of what we do includes:

-Free musical instruments for young people in the community

-We now average around 200 instruments given away every year (incl. Detroit)

-2 to 3 ADA approved Service Dogs purchased and given away each year.

-Resource in Central Texas for News Media

-Member of the Texas Su***de Prevention Council

-Partner with hospitals and non-profits

-Admin and Facilitators for 46,000 member Mental Health Peer Support Group

We are always seeking new partners, as well as businesses or individuals who would like to donate their time, their skills, or their resources to what we do.

100% of what comes in to Pick With Austin goes directly into our programs; we have no paid staff or positions.
