Studies show that fermented foods, like sauerkraut, decrease stress, anxiety & depression, improve gut health and improve cognitive function like memory & focus 🧠

Add this gut-friendly savory breakfast to your weekly rotation & try adding a spoonful of sauerkraut or other fermented food (tempeh, natto, kimchi, miso, kefir) as a daily Rx 💊

Hummus drizzled with evoo & seasoned with everything bagel seasoning, cucs 🥒tomatoes 🍅carrots 🥕 figs & crackers

A delicious, nutritious & blood sugar balanced snack!

Let’s break it down. The veggies, fruit & crackers (fiber/carbs) paired with hummus (protein) & evoo (fat) keep our blood sugar stable. Meaning I’ll be satiated & satisfied without a blood sugar crash.

Where has grilled halloumi been all my life?! Halloumi is traditionally made from sheep & goat milk and is a great source of protein, calcium and Vitamin D. This salad will be added to my rotation until further notice. It’s salty, it’s sweet & it hit the dang spot!!

Salad dEATs: bed of arugula, grilled balsamic glazed skirt steak, grilled halloumi, peaches & microgreens with creamy mustard balsamic vinaigrette. Recipe below.

🥗🍑🌱🥩🌿🧀
Marinate 1 lb. skirt steak in 1/4 c. balsamic vinegar, 1 clove garlic, minced and 1 tbsp. packed light brown for 20 mins at room temp. Remove from marinade and season with s+p and drizzle with evoo. Grill until desired doneness.

For the dressing:
Combine ½ tablespoon each: grainy mustard, dijon mustard, and balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
A pinch of salt and pepper

Grill the halloumi, in a bowl combine arugula, sliced peaches, microgreens, skirt steak and drizzle with dressing 😋

Breakfast inspo: steel-cut oats with chia, flax, peaches 🍑, nut 🥜 butter & cinnamon.

I love adding oatmeal into my weekly breakfast rotation. Why? Oatmeal is a great source of fiber which:
✔️helps lower LDL cholesterol
✔️balances blood sugar
✔️keeps you regular, fiber binds to toxins & waste in our GI tract & helps our body eliminate it
✔️ when paired with healthy fats & protein will keep you full & satisfied all morning long. Start with a bowl of oatmeal and build…add fruit for sweetness & antioxidants, nuts, seeds or nut butter for healthy fats & yogurt for extra protein.

Salad jar lunch is back! From the top🥗: organic herb salad mix, chopped dill, organic rainbow cauliflower (it’s in the freezer section and I roasted it per the instructions), cucumbers 🥒, grilled chicken and Italian dressing! Did you know that dill is a wonderful cleansing food and helps with digestion? It speeds up the digestive system by increasing the production of gastric acid, aka helping to break down your food! Herbs in general are very cleansing! Next time you make a salad 🥗 throw in some dill, cilantro or oregano to name a few. Xo,
