I'm collecting signatures to be on the November Ballot for Royal Oak City Commissioner. I hope to have an opportunity to serve you.

Being a new mom has given me a new sense of direction, energy and motivation. I want to be involved in local issues and have a voice in the decision making process involving local issues. I want to know who my neighbors are and get to know my community members at a personal level. I have a long history of community involvement. I have worked for a local domestic violence shelter where I used my legal skills to help victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault. I naturally gravitate towards communities that need help navigating the legal system. I also currently volunteer for the Common Ground legal clinic. I have my own law practice where I practice criminal law and family law. I also work for a Royal Oak law firm that helps employees who have been discriminated in the work place. I thank-you for your support and I hope to serve you in the near future.

It takes a lot of energy to run for office especially as a mother. As a mother you know, and feel that every minute spent away from your children is a minute that is gone forever.

I’ve often asked myself: “is it worth it?”

I’ve known Judge Laura Polizzi for a long time. She’s always been kind, compassionate, inclusive, welcoming, and a fighter for justice.

We need people like her on the bench.

Is it worth yet? Absolutely.

We step up for the future. For faith that all this energy spent will eventually lead to a world that is more kind, inclusive, compassionate, and just.
