GDC Holiday & 70th Birthday Party
December 6, 2025
2:30 pm - 8:00 pm
TOPIC: Greater Detroit Chapter Holiday & 70th Birthday Party

Join the ASSP Greater Detroit Chapter for a celebration of the holiday in conjunction with a celebration of the Chapter’s 70th birthday! This is a huge year for the Chapter and we can come so far – please join us in celebrating our Chapter’s history, movement through the years, and current successes. As a Platinum Chapter year over year, we are excited and honored to raise a toast to our members during this special event.

The celebration will begin with a Holiday Walk through Meadowbrook Hall. For more than 50 years, Meadow Brook Hall has delivered a breathtaking holiday experience – transporting visitors through the historic mansion decked in shimmering splendor. Perhaps the most beloved part is our Holiday Walk: a self-guided indoor tour featuring incomparable holiday sights and decorations inside a 110-room estate, featuring more than 50 magnificent trees, flickering fireplaces and lights galore. We will also make a special stop to see Santa along the tour route. Learn more here.

Following the tour, we will convene in the Human Health Building at Oakland University. Dinner and cake will be served in traditional birthday fashion, along with Safety Trivia and fun ice breakers. This is a great opportunity not only for a gathering of family and friends, but also networking and winding down the year with fellow safety professionals. Come gather with your friends and co-workers to celebrate 70 years!
