Today we’re celebrating a very special member of our practice, Mitchell’s 9th Birthday! 🐾🎉
Many of you know Mitchell as our gentle, steady presence in sessions, offering comfort, calm, and unconditional support. What you may not know is just how incredible his journey has been this past year.
Last May, Mitchell was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma and underwent emergency surgery to remove a cancerous tumor and his spleen. We were told we would have 3–6 months with him. It was heartbreaking and uncertain, and we truly thought we wouldn’t get to celebrate another birthday with him.
But Mitchell had other plans.
Over the past year, he has continued showing up with the same calm, loving spirit that so many of our clients rely on. His resilience and quiet strength have been nothing short of inspiring, not just as a facility dog, but as a reminder of living fully in each moment.
We are beyond grateful for every extra day we’ve had with him and the comfort he continues to bring to so many.
