Most often I find inspiration from "man's best friend" - my paintings usually include dogs! If you'd like information about my work or a commissioned piece, please contact me! Capturing a dog’s personality for his owner is such an amazing gift. I began painting in college, but put down the brush for a long time. Life happens and people get busy. As an elementary art teacher, I am constantly inspired by their creativity and excitement to learn and experiment. I am thankful that the children I teach and my own children inspired me to pick up a paintbrush again. I decided to paint our first born – Atticus, a weimaraner, one afternoon and have been painting “man’s best friend” ever since! For commissioned pieces, I enjoy hearing stories about the dog and his family before I begin painting. I always start with the eyes and expression – they tell so much about a dog and that is my favorite part of the painting process. These animals mean so much to their owners, I know first hand from growing up with dogs. It is truly an honor to provide a lasting memory in a work of art.

Next week for Good Friday (April 18th) we'll host a Stations of the Cross art exhibit from 5-9pm, depicting the condemnation, death and burial of Jesus Christ.

At 7pm that same evening we'll gather for a Tenebrae Service -- a somber, ancient Christian tradition -- at 7pm. We hope you'll gather with us as we prepare our hearts for the joy and hope of Easter Sunday ✝️
