We’ve had a lot of customers asking:
“What does the Virginia cannabis veto mean for Redfern H**p Co. and Redfern Market?”

The honest answer:
Right now, we are STILL HERE, STILL OPEN, and STILL FIGHTING for the products our community relies on every single day.

Governor Abigail Spanberger’s veto stopped a recreational ma*****na retail bill from moving forward in Virginia. While this does create uncertainty across the cannabis and h**p industries, it does NOT mean Redfern H**p Co. or Redfern Market are going anywhere.

What it DOES mean is:
🌱 Virginia’s h**p industry is still in a critical moment
🌱 Small businesses like ours must continue advocating for fair regulations
🌱 Customers, farmers, veterans, parents, pet owners, and everyday Virginians who rely on h**p products still need their voices heard

For us personally, this isn’t about “getting rich off cannabis.”

This is about:
• The customer who finally found relief and can sleep again
• The veteran managing stress and pain naturally
• The amputee dealing with phantom pain

Governor Abigail Spanberger has officially vetoed the bill that would have created a legal recreational ma*****na retail market in Virginia.

For many small businesses, farmers, and h**p operators across the Commonwealth, this leaves a lot of uncertainty about what comes next.

At Redfern H**p Co., we believe this conversation is bigger than politics. It’s about:

An honor to welcome Honorable Eugene Vindman out to Redfern Farm 🇺🇸

Yesterday, Joe had the opportunity to present Brigantine Liberty to Congressman Eugene Vindman during his visit — a piece that represents freedom, resilience, and the independent spirit that small farms and American agriculture are built on.

As we toured the farm, we also had meaningful conversations about the future of h**p and small farms here in Virginia.

Moments like this matter.

Bringing together farmers, community members, and leaders helps ensure that the voices of small businesses and agricultural communities are heard — especially during a time when the h**p industry is facing major changes at both the state and federal level.

This is Tamara 💚

Tamara has been a longtime supporter of Redfern H**p Co., but more importantly — she’s someone whose life has been directly impacted by this plant.

As an amputee, she experiences phantom pain where her leg used to be, along with joint pain from using a prosthetic. On top of that, like many people in the world and in Virginia, she’s dealt with anxiety that can make everyday life more difficult.

She shared with us that the combination of THC and CBD products from Redfern have helped ease her pain, calm her mind, and allow her to be more active again.

“I’ve been able to be more active.”

Graham Redfern spent time speaking with them, alongside state leadership, about what farmers across the Commonwealth are currently facing. Between changing state laws, possible federal shifts, and ongoing conversations around THC regulations, the industry is in a place where things could change quickly.

For many of us, this isn’t just about a crop — it’s our livelihood, our families, and the communities we’ve built around this plant.
