What is Fred Books of Ladysmith?

We are an oddity, a little used bookstore only open a few days each month for a fun-filled, family event.

Each event we restock the store for a brand new treasure hunt of gently loved books, movies, music & more.

We are a little crazy, but we embrace it!

We have two stores to serve you, in Ladysmith & Fredericksburg, each with its own unique spin.

It’s day one of break and I’m trying out different crafts with my kids using materials I already have at home! And since I can’t help myself we are also working on our speech and language skills!Santa is coming through our neighborhood today so we are making a sign to greet him 🎅For my 5 year old we worked on coming up with a list of synonyms for the word MERRY! Since my 3 year old is a gestalt language processor, I modeled phrases like “I’m messy!” and “let’s put it on” to help her access communication.Be sure to follow for our next craft and communication tip!
