😜 [Massage Therapists] How to maximize your CUPPING results by getting clients to "buy-in"!
Cupping can be intimidating. Frankly, the technique looks like it hurts. 😰 And sometimes it does.
And not everyone wants to walk around with circular hickeys all over their body.
Take Amber for example…
Cupping the biceps tendon in the cubital fossa is NOT comfortable. [See her face?] 🤬 But we were filming my MyoFascial Cupping E-Course, so she dealt with it to get the shot.
To get your clients to TRY and fall in LOVE with cupping, first, you need to get buy-in!
And getting buy-in is all about using the proper PRE-FRAME. 🖼
Pre-framing is like going out on a date. If your friend says “Oh, you have to meet this person, they’re amazing,” you are more likely to be excited about the date. 🥳 That was a positive pre-frame.
If they say, “I set you up on a date. Hopefully you like each other,” then you’re not so excited. And maybe a little turned off. 😣
What you say about CUPPING has powerful implications. Will your client get excited, or be turned off?
Proper pre-framing is also the key behind the placebo effect — that positive subconscious 🧠 response that makes whatever you do feel even better.
So pre-frame cupping using SUPER positive language, so your clients say “I’m excited! Let’s go!” Then, even if it’s a little uncomfortable, they’re in it for the amazing results.
