Went to HWH today to work on some ponies. It felt different today approaching these horses with a different mind set after attending the Trina Curtin Horsemanship clinic this weekend.
I have been intuitively connected to horses for as long as I can remember. The more I work with them on a weekly basis, providing support to their bodies and helping them move to the best of their abilities, that intuition grows stronger and stronger. I feel so deeply for them and at times I feel like they are trying to tell me something that is deeper than the surface.
This clinic opened my eyes to the opportunity to connect closer with my clients, to have a deeper conversation. I tried some energy points today on some accepting horse partners and let me tell you, I had a much more profound session with them. I left feeling emotional because the pieces felt like they finally clicked together.
It is so important to introduce yourself to these animals with intention. A calm, clear, and grounded intention. Ask them questions, include them in the conversation. Have no expectation for the way they choose to process and release. They are so incredibly sensitive that you have to listen to every ear twitch, to every soft blink or a hardened of an eye, to every breath that leaves their body. The shift in weight as they stand there and process the changes to their body both physically and energetically.
My hands tingle with energy as they press into the horse’s soft skin. My feet firmly planted on the ground where I ask the energy around me to help me, to guide me through, and an accepting heart for whatever it is that’s coming my way that needs attention.
I thank every individual, both horse and human who has given me the opportunity to use my hands to help them.
