Created by Raymond Duprey, the logo uses the image of a torch to signify sanctuary. The backdrop of rainbow pride colors bleed into one another, reflecting our fluid interconnection as a people and GAYLA’s continuity. The typefaces combine the lighthearted whimsy of GAYLA with the grounded stability of sanctuary.

𝙅𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧. He will contribute selections to morning services, lead the pick-up choir, and accompany singers during the Talent-No Talent Show, as well as other musical treats throughout the week. If you have musical instruments, 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤!

Jonathan is well known to our Easton Mountain and Rowe Labor Day brothers. He studied at the Eastman School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, the Manhattan School of Music and is an ordained Cantor with a Masters in Sacred Music from Hebrew Union College. He served the Community Synagogue in Rye, NY and on the faculty of the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music. Jonathan often posts short videos on Facebook and Instagram and his compositions have premiered under the direction of world-class conductors.

Live your recovery at GAYLA. We host a daily Open 12 Step Meeting. You’ll find support with men from a variety of programs, within a supportive retreat environment. The campus and beach are alcohol-free, except for designated events and locations.
