MOST exciting news, everyone!

I am privileged to announce that, starting on September 1, 2021, I am bringing on an additional therapist to work alongside me –

Meet Courtney!

Courtney Kim Morgan (she/her), currently an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor as well as a provisional Registered Art Therapist earning her hours towards licensure, is a BIPOC, cisgender, q***r, sex-positive, art therapist.

With experience as broad as providing therapy at Gender Health Center under my supervision in the past, within medical contexts, as well as her experience within other private practice contexts, I believe Courtney brings a dedicated and competent mindset and approach to my practice. She integrates Q***r Informed Narrative Therapy prinicples with her passion (and already well-developed talent and skill) for Art Therapy, and other creative ways of engaging with our preferred directions of growth and change, and I expect that she will provide a number of opportunities and experiences for alignment and therapeutic work with clients that I alone can not offer.

I look forward to being able to support Courtney, and to helping her to support others, as we move forward.

On the technical side: she’s taking consultations!

Please feel free to reach out to her, or to read more about her and her work, via any of the following methods:

With all the changes during this time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been significant changes to how therapists like myself are offering services - namely, moving to entirely distance-based, audio/video methods.

If you are experiencing extra challenges at this time and don't know where you might get support, or if you've been wanting to reach out but are uncertain if you can at this time, due to shelter-at-home mandates, or to protect the health of yourself or of those close to you: I am here.

We may not be able to occupy the same physical location at this time, but I do not believe that that means anyone should go without beneficial services.

In this time of uncertainty, I believe it more important than ever to support one another in whatever ways we have accessible to us.

INSURANCE UPDATE: I finally have a contract with one of the companies that Kaiser outsources mental health to, Beacon Options! If you have a Kaiser plan, you must generally obtain from them a referral to Beacon providers before you meet for session(s). These can generally be obtained by calling your member services number and saying something such as:

"I would like to see a provider contracted with Beacon, and would like a referral to Beacon to do so."
