My name is Marina (.marinam) Before dental school, I got my BA in Psych at Wellesley College and then I got my MS in Oral Health Sciences at BU.

Growing up I thought I wanted to be a primary care physician just like my parents. As I started to shadow them and other doctors more, I realized I didn’t actually like it. One of my mentors pushed me to shadow a dentist my senior year of college and I fell in love with it from the first day. I love working with my hands and being able to see instant results (for the most part). I also started to realize how important someone’s smile was to their every day lives.

My favorite hobbies outside of work are reading and baking. Thankfully I was able to do both of those during quarantine.

A fun fact about me is I have had at least one hiccup every day since freshman year of high school. Paging any doctors out there who can help me figure out why!

Hello all my name is Paul Francis .phransees
I am in my first year of Veterinary school at the University of Arizona. My specialty is yet to be determined, however I do have some ideas, as I would like to be specialized in Surgery, Cardiology, or Radiology.
My undergrad career was completed at the California State University Fullerton with a Bachelors of Science degree for Biology.
I selected to go into this profession due to the ability to dive into many directions such as dentistry, internal medicine, surgery, and many other paths.

Growing up I always knew that I wanted to be in the medical field or something science related. Initially I was unsure of what I wanted to do in my life. During my high school I would participate in many internships at many different animal hospitals. During my different experiences I was able to see that veterinarians are able to go from doing a surgery, to facing a dermatological issue, to facing an emergency walk in, and many more events in a single day. The high paced energy that was required and adrenaline rush that would accompany it daily made me realize that no two days would ever be the same. I shortly realized that veterinary medicine was something that I wanted to do, as every day would present a new challenge that would leave me to never feel comfortable with what I was going to do, but rather constantly adapt to my environment. This lifestyle helped me to determine that this was the field that I wanted to get into.

My favorite hobby to do outside of work usually consists of working out, hanging out with friends and family, going to the beach, and trying out whole in the wall restaurants.
A random fun fact about me is that when I was 6 years old I saved my cousin from drowning in a pool and now we don’t talk anymore.

Hi guys my name is Sherie () and I am honoured to share my passion and connect with you. I am an accredited practicing dietitian and a credentialed diabetes educator. My dietetic interests are holistic however touch on behaviour change, chronic pain, metabolics such as diabetes management and PKU-focusing on 'The why of what we do'. Through the grace of God,I completed my undergraduate bachelor of science majoring in human nutrition and post graduate studies in dietetics, motivational interviewing, health coaching and diabetes education.

As a teen, a family member developed Diabetes and it touched a tender spot in my heart that I wanted to help them and others. As I delved more into it and read more about it, it reinforced my passion as a career and lifestyle.
My favourite hobbies outside of work are participating in fund-raiser runs, travel and volunteering in raw areas using the skills that God has given me educate, empower and support. I also enjoy cooking and putting together healthy recipes from standard items in the pantry/fridge.
A random fun fact about me is I fill up the kettle and turn it on before I go to sleep (but that's a story for another time).
A verse I try and live by:
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" Matthew 5:16
We live in a world where the focus can tend to be on one's self rather than one's Creator.
A motto i live by:
Small steady steps for sustainable change
Nice to meet you all 💗🙏

Hi all :) my name is John Abadeer ()
PA student at Touro College Manhattan Campus. In my clinical year
I graduated from CCNY with a Bachelors of Science majoring Psychology and minoring in Chemistry.
Took my pre reqs and miraculosly got my hours to apply to PA school and miraculously was accepted.

PA school was a passion that I didn’t know about until sophomore year of college. I really was fascinated by the medical field, but I also wanted to be able to diagnose, order labs, and prescribe meds- so my options were NP, med school, or PA. I chose to go with PA because I truly feel it was God’s choice for me, the way I knew about it, applied, got my hours, and accepted- was all out of my hands... felt like it was just being prepared to be this way.
I am beyond happy with this profession- I can switch specialties or work two different specialties at the same time. I get to be payed sooner in my career. I get to be part of a team consisting of residents, social workers, OT, PT, nurses, psychologists, supervising attending and more depending on what the patient requires, and we all come up with a plan and commit to it.

I like the hospital setting and I like the acute management of diseases- so my type of setting is mainly encompassed around the ER, ICU, surgery...
My field of interest so far is surgical oncology.
That’s it for now :)
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions :) this page is for the benefit and not just the show, so please don’t hesitate to reach out regarding any questions about the field
