Meet Ms. Brown! 🐕 She’s ready for her night out on the town. 🪩 When we first saw her, both eyes 👀 had green discharge and she had an eyelid mass. We removed the eyelid mass and started therapy for dry eye. Now she’s feeling great and ready to live her best life❤️.

This cute kitty has a manifestation of feline herpes keratitis called eosinophilic keratitis. The white plaques you see on the surface of the cornea are clumps of eosinophils. While this condition can be difficult to treat, with the right cocktail of medications, we can usually reduce flares. This patient received an injection of steroids under the skin and topical steroid therapy.

Check out this sweet girl, Gracie. She is rocking her Namsam goggles. She has Pannus, an inflammatory corneal condition that is very common in German shepherds and Greyhounds. UV light ☀️ can make this condition worse, which is why all of these patients, if they tolerate it😎, are recommended to wear UV goggle protection when outside. Gracie is doing fantastic!

Eyelid masses can be painful and rub on the corneal surface. The technique of removing an eyelid mass under sedation is a less invasive way to treat this condition and doesn’t interfere with the eyelid margin. We use liquid nitrogen to treat the area after mass removal to prevent the mass from coming back. Good as new!!🐶

Sometimes you’re born without hair! But this little nugget was born without hair AND tears! 😭. Fortunately, with some topical tear stimulants and lubrication these eyes are glimmering better than ever ❤️.

Congenital lacrimal aplasia and hypoplasia are conditions that prevent the patient from producing a normal amount of aqueous tears. The response to medication can vary, and occasionally these patients need surgery to re-route their salivary ducts to their eyes 👀.
