Someone asked me recently if I’m still drinking ketones … the answer is absolutely! This is my go to drink to keep my energy up, my appetite down and my brain functioning at a higher level! not to mention keeping me in ketosis so I don’t have to eat strict keto!

As I am reflecting back on the last four years, it’s not been easy, but it has been worth it! I decided in December 2020 that if I was going to enjoy life to the fullest, I needed to make some serious changes!

I started January 2021 on this low-carb/keto lifestyle. I am down over 75 pounds and I have kept it off!!! So for those of you who know me know this is huge. I am such a foodie and a social eater. I never thought this would be possible!

To those who ask for advice, I say just start with something! Like cutting out sugar or breads or pasta or starting with walking…. any decisions you make, as long as you are consistent with them, will compound over time to get you the results that you want.

Only you can make the decision to change! You must love yourself enough to live a healthy lifestyle!

This morning's sunrise was beautiful!

This particular view made me realize why I started my healthy lifestyle journey .... Often times people tell me, "Eat what you want, do what you want, why exercise... even healthy people die. Well, this is true however, those of us on this side of the ground have choices to make. I want to live a life that allows me the pleasure of enjoying my friends, family, and seeing my grandkids grow up. I would rather do this healthy than sick.

Being healthy is hard, but so is being sick, choose your hard!

July book - yes, I’m late to post but it was such a great read! This book was very enlightening about the foods we put into our body. So much of our healthcare system wants to treat symptoms instead of finding the root cause of the problem. Many of our health problems can just be corrected by our eating habits.

How are you doing this year on your health goals? Every day is a new day to start and when you do, you’ll look back and see how far you’ve come!
