๐Ÿ’ชStronger Together ๐Ÿ’ช

Family Resource Centers transform families and communities by fostering reciprocity, connection, and asset development. When we work together across California, we strengthen economic well-being and ensure no community is left behind. ๐Ÿค

๐Ÿ“ข This Month of Advocacy, our state cannot afford to lose groundโ€”weโ€™re raising our voices for families and communities statewide.

๐Ÿ’ช Family Resource Centers show up every day across California.

๐Ÿ“ From north to south, east to west, Californiaโ€™s FRCs are connected by shared values, common goals, and a commitment to prevention. When one community finds what works, families across California benefit. โค๏ธ

๐Ÿค We collaborate, not compete.
๐Ÿ”„ We share, not hoard.
๐Ÿš€ We rise together, not alone.
โœจ Thatโ€™s our power. Thatโ€™s our impact.

Because weโ€™re ๐ŸŒ‰๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒฒ

๐ŸŽ‰ GREAT NEWS! SB 557 passed the Senate floor yesterday with unanimous, bipartisan support!

SB 557 strengthens child abuse prevention by modernizing how California defines Family Resource Centers. These are trusted, community-based centers that help families access support before challenges turn into crises. The bill cuts red tape, aligns state law with federal standards, and ensures California remains eligible for long-term federal funding, without creating new mandates.

Thank you to our Senators and to everyone who reached out and made their voices heard. Your advocacy made a difference.

Next stop: The Assembly! We expect SB 557 to be set for hearing in June when Assembly Committees begin reviewing Senate bills.

We'll keep you updated on next steps. Stay tuned!

๐ŸŽŠ 20 Years of Impact. 20 Years of Advocacy. 20 Years of Family Strength. ๐ŸŽŠ

Today we proudly celebrate 20 years of community, advocacy, and impact. And thereโ€™s no better way to mark this milestone than by reflecting on our defining moments along the way. ๐Ÿ’œ We are grateful to everyone who joined us at CFRAโ€™s FRC Learning Lab 20th Anniversary Celebration and to the partners, members, parent leaders, and families who have shaped CFRA over the past two decades.

As Janay Eustace, President and CEO of The Child Abuse Prevention Center, so passionately reminded us:
โ€œWhen systems shrink, community becomes even more essential, and there is no statewide network more trusted or prepared than Family Resource Centers. You are the connectors, the navigators, the advocates, and the steady hands that hold the community together. When we ask, โ€˜Who will keep families connected to support?โ€™ The answer is you. It has always been you. FRCs are the safety net behind the safety net. โ€

๐Ÿ“Š Check out the graphic to see how far weโ€™ve come, from statewide recognition to historic investments in families and communities. Thank you for 20 years of collective impact. Hereโ€™s to the next chapter! ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’œ
