Sutter Health is proud to launch a new gastroenterology fellowship program at Sutter Roseville Medical Center – a milestone in our continued investment in physician training and specialty care. 🩺

Recently approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, this three-year program will train two fellows per year for three years starting July 2026, strengthening the physician workforce and expanding access to high-quality, specialized digestive health services across Northern California.

Our newest simulation lab is a state-of-the-art space that provides Sutter’s Graduate Medical Education Program residents, nurses and other clinicians with an immersive, highly realistic learning experience in a safe and controlled environment.

“The pace in the sim lab is definitely intense. The tech team does an excellent job of creating real-life scenarios. Exciting news! 🎉 Sutter announces its first neurology residency program, based at Sutter Roseville Medical Center, with the inaugural class of resident physicians set to start training July 2026. The program will train 12 residents and help expand access to advanced neurologic care in urban and rural communities.

The program recently received national accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

“Residents will gain leadership experience, advocacy training, and skills to manage complex neurologic conditions — positioning them for long, successful careers in medicine.” - Dr. Shubhangi Chitnis, pediatric neurologist and neurology program director at Sutter Roseville Medical Center
