In our therapy sessions, we meet children where they are — following their lead and using movement-rich, whole-body activities to support their growth.

Whether they’re zooming across the room, crawling through a tunnel, or reaching while riding on a scooter board, we use their natural interests and energy to build:

When children are active, motivated, and in control, they’re more open to connection and learning. That’s why we let their interests guide the session — and build therapeutic moments into every playful movement.

Speech Therapy... but make it camping!🏕️

Therapist Bethany brought the outdoors indoors with this fun camping-themed session! Using flashlights, tents, and a cozy book, she targeted articulation skills like S-blends and L-blends through structured trials and sound bombardment.

Even better? It doubled as a social/pragmatic activity — her client invited a peer to join the adventure, practicing conversation skills and social engagement in a natural, playful way.

Building Blocks Speech & Language will be closed on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day.

We hope everyone enjoys a safe and meaningful holiday as we take time to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. It’s a time to remember, reflect, and celebrate the freedoms we enjoy.

We’ll resume regular sessions on Tuesday. Thank you for being part of the Building Blocks family!
