Dr. Gant here… I need to say something. I’m sad about where we are in social media, in popular culture and in the aesthetic “realm” when it comes to a goal of “perfect skin”😩💀and selling that lie to our girls. Young people (tweens, girls especially) are being convinced they need to treat, peel, scrub or otherwise change their skin. Did we not learn with body and weight image that we can put unfair expectations on growing and changing bodies (and hearts)?? Please stop 🛑 🛑 listening to the filtered faces in your feeds, selling creams (and heartbreak) 💔 … so much out there is wrong and harmful and as a medical professional (and a mom) it’s HARD to watch 👀💔
