It’s said how you show up on your mat is how you show up in life. I used to show up ready to sweat and push myself to my limit; see if I could hold the pose longer, stretch further, get stronger, more flexible, grow taller, and more enlightened in just under 90 minutes. When savasana was cued, I was a dripping, sweaty, hot exhausted mess with random thoughts about consuming too much wheat and needing more sleep still competing for headspace.
After a challenging period some years back, I turned inward, found patterns I wanted to change and ways I could manifest that expression through yoga. No longer just a form of bendy exercise, yoga became a vital respite that nourished my body, mind and spirit. I started playing with deepening my practice with specific essential oils. And in 2019, I took a deeper dive with a 200-hour training and became certified in Ta***ic Hatha Yoga.
I saw the creative potential in expanding the yoga + oils concept in a workshop series. Each of our classes feature three different oils to support your body, uplift your heart, and ease you into relaxation for savanasa. I am thrilled to be able to offer clients and new peeps these specialized classes and private sessions focusing on the therapeutic aspects of yoga and oils. We do three live-stream classes per month and I am super looking forward to returning to in-person classes when the time is right. See you on the mat!
