What a great weekend in Panama City! Deanna and Jason rocked the 55 to 59 a group with a big win from Deanna and a fourth place finish from Jason. After a shortened swim, Deanna held 22+ mph on the bike and ran a 1:32 half marathon. Jason averaged 24+ mph and ran a 1:43 half marathon. Great work and !

💫 FEATURE FRIDAY 💫

Our very own Connie Henderson was recently named the recipient of TD Bank’s 2025 Community Volunteer Leadership Award.

As a result, TD Bank generously donated $5,000 to the charity of her choice. As the head coach of the Mecklenburg County Special Olympics Swim Team, these funds were sent directly to Mecklenburg County’s program, and will be used to support her swimmers for years to come!

What an important role Connie plays in our community and with — a few athletes were privileged to see her in action on deck this season as lane volunteers during Saturday practices. We are so proud of her, this accomplishment, and her continued work with ❤️

Big aerobic block + hilly riding = serious strength gains just from consistent zone 2 work.

Trenor Philbin worked hard to build his FTP over 8 weeks with endurance-focused weekends, 2 hard midweek sessions. A lot of 110%+ intervals progressing each week, mixed with sustained sub-threshold work and spikes well over threshold.

The breakthrough: 398w for 6 min, then 390w for 10 min two days later. 365 from 309 FTP.

More than anything, it was a mental shift—realizing he could hold high power longer than he thought. That changed everything. ⭐️

Hard work pays off. ✨

Life can be hard but giving is not for athlete and Regional Manger of Meghann Cleary. She is a bright light in this world and on our team — none of this surprises us but we are always impressed by her hard work in sport, work, life, and by her genuine care for others.

This message from says it all…

❤️ Neighbors Helping Neighbors

In moments like this winter storm—when roads ice over, families seek shelter, and so many in our community struggle to find warmth—kindness has a way of shining through.

Earlier this morning, as Red Cross volunteers worked to secure meals for guests staying at the Grady Cole Center shelter in Charlotte, N.C., they reached out to Snooze, an A.M. Eatery on Central Avenue, Plaza Midwood. Despite the restaurant being closed due to the storm, Meghann Cleary (right) — the only staff member on site — picked up the phone.

At first, she let our volunteer, Loretta Pendergrast, know the location wasn’t able to open for regular service. But then she paused. She looked around. She had food. She had time. And she had the support of a company that believes in serving the community.

So she called back.

“How many people can we cook for?” she asked.

Meghann single‑handedly prepared and delivered hot breakfasts for shelter guests, Red Cross volunteers, and city and county staff — a gesture rooted deeply in care, compassion, and the belief that we take care of each other when it matters most.

Her words say it all:
“I had the food, the time, and the support of my company to be able to say yes whenever possible.”

💛 This is what neighbors helping neighbors looks like. It’s people using what they have, right where they are, to lift someone else up.

To Meghann and the Snooze team: thank you for choosing kindness, for showing up, and for reminding us that every act — big or small — can make a difference.

In times of need, community is everything. 🫶

The harder you work, the more essential a proper postseason becomes—for both mental rejuvenation and next season’s performance. Take time to sleep in, enjoy walks with friends, and slow down a bit. Your mind, body, and family will thank you. 🤍

“Well now THAT’S gonna leave a mark. This is what instantly flashed through my mind as I peeked over my left forearm to discover that it looked like a wild animal had gone and chomped a big chunk out of my elbow. Just a handful of seconds earlier, I’d been chugging along on my trusty old bike — a 2014 Trek Speed Concept once owned and raced by my former-pro-triathlete coach — in one of the most ambitious endurance races I’ve ever attempted: Ironman California, consisting of a 2.4-mile swim in the American River, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run through Sacramento.”
