Hey look good news for once!!! AB 55 The Freedom to Birth Act passed!

"Free-standing birth centers have been found not only to improve health outcomes but also to save over $2,000 in Medicaid costs for every mother/baby when compared to typical care. These facilities are a needed piece of the healthcare puzzle as over 50 labor and delivery wards have closed in California hospitals in the past decade, and twelve counties, primarily rural, have been left with no hospitals to deliver babies."

Doula Penny Simkin discusses the positive impact that doulas have on birth outcomes. They provide a unique form of labor support that is different from that of other caregivers involved in the birth process--but complements the roles of others. Simkins describes why this is so.

This is a birth trauma or challenging birth support group offered through an amazing therapist. She used to be local, but has moved out of the area and is still offering her gift remotely.

From Krysta: I offer this support group once a year due to overwhelming demand!

This is a 6 week support group for moms healing from a difficult birth.
Every year I'm in awe of the amazing healing and relationships I see take place!
