Miriam Gudiño is the Founder / CEO for Christian Family Resource Center/Familia Cristiana Centro De Recursos. She manages the daily operations of the non-profit Christian Family Resource Center/Familia Cristiana Centro De Recursos by: recruiting volunteers, creating and managing fund raising events, scheduling, and conducting board meetings, networking with other organizations and reaching out to people in need in our Sacramento, Ca. community. Mrs. Gudiño's involvement since 1999 in creating, organizing, establishing in January 2005 and now volunteering her spare time to the mission and vision of Christian Family Resource Center is exceptional because the population that is at hand is a population of residents within the inner community that have no resources or a voice to seek out assistance for shelter, food, medical, dental, drug and alcohol abuse rehabilitation within the local government or private agencies, stemming from the lack of knowledge, language, and cultural barriers that exist within this population. This population lives in constant fear of persecution and total detachment from the local community. She does not want to ignore the need at hand, she wants to be part of the resolution for all involved, whether it's for the migrant worker, local community, state or country. Mrs. Gudiño says The United States is the richest country in the world and there should not be anyone that should have to experience homelessness, hunger, untreated disease, alcohol and drug abuse, desolation, persecution and fear. She knew that just handing out jackets, feeding them and speaking encouraging words was not enough to resolve the destitute condition of this community. She wanted a more permanent resolution to this issue. Through thoughtful consideration and research Mrs. Gudiño found that the community lacked the resources to help this population. She decided to begin the task of taking serious steps to create and organize an organization that would cater to the needs of this unique population in the Multicultural Hispanic/Latino community and so she took the initiative and founded and created a non profit organization called Christian Family Resource Center. She is genuinely committed to this humanitarian crusade of seeking and reaching out to those that are less fortunate, especially to those with no voice or resources within the community. Making a positive impact and striving for a healthy environment in the Sacramento community and surrounding areas is her goal.
