We were able to share resources many people didn't realize were available, including sliding fee options and insurance assistance. It was a great event, and we can't wait to do it again! 💙

Earlier this week, our team spent a beautiful day at Township 9 providing free HIV testing, sexual health education, and resources to the community. Township 9 is one of our recurring outreach sites, and we’re grateful for the chance to return every few weeks. Each visit allows us to build trust and create a welcoming space where people can access care with dignity, no matter their housing status. 💙

September is National Cholesterol Education Month.
High cholesterol often has no symptoms, but it can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. The good news is that daily habits can help you keep your cholesterol in check and protect your heart. ❤️
Here are five lifestyle tips to support healthy cholesterol levels:
• Regular exercise
• Quit smoking
• Limit alcohol
• Manage stress
• Eat balanced meals
When it comes to nutrition, build a heart-healthy plate:
• Half fruits and vegetables
• One quarter whole grains
• One quarter lean protein
• Small amounts of healthy fats
Consistency is key. Small changes today bring lasting results. 🏃🥗

On September 3, we joined hundreds of others at the Capitol for Recovery Happens, hosted by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP).
This annual event celebrates the strength and resilience of individuals in recovery from Substance Use Disorder while bringing together treatment providers from across the region to share resources, build connections, and collaborate on improving care.
Our team proudly shared resources and services available at One Community Health and joined the Banner Walk around the Capitol, standing with our community to celebrate recovery and promote lasting wellness. 💜

September is Su***de Prevention Month - a special time to come together and break down barriers around mental health. It’s a gentle reminder that you’re not alone. Su***de can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or profession. Remember, prevention begins with connection, support, and hope. Let’s support each other during this important month.
On October 25th at the State Capitol, we will once again join American Foundation for Su***de Prevention - Greater Sacramento Chapter for the Out of the Darkness Walk. We will be there to share information about the Behavioral Health services available at One Community Health and to walk in solidarity with survivors, families, and advocates. 💙

Earlier this month, we hosted our Patient & Community Appreciation Fair, where we handed out more than 400 backpacks to students, offered free health screenings, distributed dental hygiene kits, provided one-on-one MyChart support, and so much more. 💙
Events like these are just one of the many ways we invest directly in our families and community.
And the best part? It was a free event open to the public.
