Last week, some of our Communications team attended the 2026 California Association of Public Information Officials Annual Conference in San Diego, joining public sector and nonprofit communicators from across California to learn, connect, and grow under this year’s theme, “Making Waves.”

Throughout the conference, our team participated in sessions focused on strategic communications, accessibility and inclusive messaging, community engagement, and navigating complex public information in a rapidly evolving media landscape.

The team also connected with peers across the state to share best practices and learn how organizations are building trust and clarity through their communications. This experience reinforces our ongoing commitment to clear, accessible, and community-centered communications across One Community Health. 💙

Attending the California Primary Care Association 2026 Financial Conference? Brent Copen, Chief Financial Officer at One Community Health, will be presenting on May 19, 2026, from 1:30–2:30 PM PT.

The session, "Be the Sun, Not the Wind: Thriving in an Era of Financial Scarcity", explores how finance and executive leaders can guide organizations through sustained constraint by leading with clarity, trust, and alignment rather than pressure and control. On Denim Day, we stand with survivors and push back on harmful myths that blame victims for sexual violence. Today raises awareness about the realities of sexual assault and challenges the idea that clothing or appearance ever equals consent. Everyone deserves to feel safe, believed, and supported, in healthcare and beyond. 💙

Happy Earth Day. 🌎 💙

Clean air, safe water, shade, and green space all support our health. In Sacramento, that also comes with pollen, some sneezing, and a yearly reminder that nature is very much alive!

If you can today, take one small moment outside. A short walk, fresh air, a deep breath.

Small steps count.

El aire limpio, el agua segura, la sombra y los espacios verdes apoyan nuestra salud. En Sacramento, eso también viene con polen, algunos estornudos y un recordatorio anual de que la naturaleza está muy viva.
