"The Triston" Zechiah Rememberance Page (March 18, 1990-September 22, 2011) Triston Zechiah Slack, a gentle soul who left us too soon. Triston Zechiah Slack ~ He's our son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and loving friend.

Share in his memory as we raise funds to release his ashes on Spirit Lake, come together to create a space for healing, spread awareness for mental health and offer support for suicide prevention. He died on September 22, 2011. Triston had just turned 21 years old in March. His death was labeled, a "suicide." Whether it was or not, we'll never know and is irrelevant.Triston had dreams, hopes and g

oals. On his last night on earth he talked about how he was going to spend his next few days with various family members. Triston talked about buying a boat to someday sail on Spirit Lake. He left much too soon. Triston had so much to offer! He was creative, artistic, sensitive, intelligent, full of compassion and had a deep respect for all living beings. Triston was too beautiful for this world and touched the lives of so many. Some who knew him well and even some who had only met him once or for the first time at his Celebration of Life. "The Triston" page is for rememberance and to serve as a space for collective grief and support ifor all of us still HERE. We can walk together on our healig journeys. Please feel free to share your memories of Triston, post photos of special moments spent with him or share your own story of a loved one who struggled with their mental health, whose life ended too soon or unburden yourself of some of your grief or heaviness weighing down your heart. Triston's sister Mars and brother Jereth screen-printed t-shirts with a design created by Triston Zechiah. "The Triston" shirt is a sweet reminder of his time here. It reminds us to enjoy life and is a catalyst to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. It's time to Stop the Stigma! NO MORE passing judgement, let's reach out and support one another instead.
I have chosen the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP - Sacramento Chapter) to receive donations in Triston's honor.
For a $10 donation you will receive a limited edition angel ornament that will remind you to "Let Your Light Shine" or to "Love With All Your Heart " (we only have about a dozen of these). Also available for $25 are the t-shirts mentioned previously.
