BRUISING. IS. NORMAL. 💉 If you don’t get a bruise after doing treatment, great! But we like to tell our patients to always expect some kind of bruising especially when receiving filler so that you aren’t shocked if it does happen.
Here are a list of some things you can do and avoid 🙅🏽♀️ to help with bruising:
1. Eliminate alcohol before and after treatment
2. Before treatment, avoid medications or supplements with blood-thinning effects unless otherwise directed by your provider (fish oil, aspirin, Advil®, and Aleve to name a few)
3. Try taking Arnica before and after treatment
4. Apply ice or cold packs to the affected areas during and after treatment
5. Avoid vigorous exercise for 2 days after treatment
