Winter can be tough on the skin—cold air, low humidity, and indoor heat all pull moisture from your skin, leaving it dry and more sensitive ❄️ When skin is dehydrated, waxing can feel more uncomfortable and results may not be as smooth. The good news? A little extra self-care goes a long way 🤍

💧 Hydrate from the inside out
Drinking enough water helps keep skin elastic and healthy. Hydrated skin allows wax to grip the hair—not the skin—leading to smoother results and less irritation.

🧴 Moisturize consistently (but not right before your appointment)
Daily moisturizing keeps skin soft and supple. Avoid applying lotion the day of your wax so the wax can adhere properly.

🧼 Gentle exfoliation
Light exfoliation 2–3 times per week helps remove dead skin cells and prevents ingrown hairs. Skip exfoliating the day of your appointment to avoid sensitivity.

🌿 Follow aftercare recommendations
Post-wax care is just as important as prep. Keep skin clean, moisturized, and avoid heat, friction, and tight clothing right after waxing.

Anyone else already thinking about New Year’s goals?
A few things I’m focusing on in 2026:
• eating less sugar 🍫
• spending more time outside with my girl Abby 🐾☀️

Abby & I loved our 2025 day hikes around KC, and I’m excited to keep making time for fresh air, sunshine, muddy paws, and all. I’m hoping to carry more of that into the new year: slower days & quality time that fills my cup 💛
