Meet Speaker Daiarian Roberts

Dairian Roberts is an occupational therapist, lactation consultant, and owner of humbled by motherhood. She spent her entire career dedicated to hand therapy until she had her son in 2017. Her multiple degrees meant nothing when facing motherhood. She quickly became passionate about supporting other moms, especially Black moms, through the healthcare system. She is passionate about holistic care. There is no separation between maternal health and infant health. They are innately intertwined (and the research backs this up). MS, CLEC, IBCLC, OTR/L, IBCLC, PMH-C

Meet speaker Julie Matheney, MS, CCC-SLP, CLEC, IBCLC

When she was 10 years old, Julie Matheney told her mom she wanted to feed babies for a living. After realizing that wasn’t really a thing, she studied speech-language pathology, eventually getting her Master’s Degree and working in the NICU as a speech therapist. In 2012 she began her journey to become an IBCLC and was certified in 2018. While most people assume speech therapists teach children with stuttering or to say their 'r's and s's', the bulk of her job is feeding and swallowing.

To catch a sneak peek of what she has in store for our event, be sure to follow her on Instagram LALactation
