I’ve been working on my energy and it just feels different these days. It feels brighter. It feels stronger. It’s giving manifesting my inner baddie era vibes. I created Manifesting My Inner Baddie Era The Coaching Program with the intention of bringing together individuals across the country that are ready to commit to their transformation. The program centers personal and spiritual development and also teaches people how to brand/market themselves. So many of the coaching clients I work with want to embody what it feels like to manifest their baddie era and I thought to myself, why not facilitate that and more? I want people to feel empowered, fired up, and ready to take a leap of faith on themselves. If you’re reading this and you feel like you’re being called to this energy, than check out the landing page https://www.reclaimingyourhappinesswithlemus.com/manifestingmyinnerbaddieera and submit your interest form. As of today, I have 2 spots left in the program. Manifesting My Inner Baddie Era goes live next month. What are you waiting for? Let’s go! 🔥

It’s been about a year since my last Facebook post, but this is worth posting!

I always knew I was meant to help people. That’s why I worked my butt off going to school for so long and why my education is in service type fields. By the age of 23 I had attained a bachelors degree in Psychology, a masters degree in Higher Education, and a certificate in Community College Education, all the while being a first generation college student and son of immigrants. By the age of 25 I had a job people comfortably retired from and by age 27 I had been accepted into a doctoral program. While I’m proud of these accomplishments, they were also connected to unrealistic expectations I had placed on myself. They were based in feeling like I could only be valued if I had fancy letters and titles next to my name.

By the age of 26, amid all the fancy titles, letters, national awards, and “expectations met”, I fell apart. I legit had a breakdown. I was exhausted. I wasn’t living out my truth. I wasn’t happy and finally found myself through the crumbling of the foundations I had come to know my entire life.

This led to the next fourish years of my life, which is what you see here. That included a huge breakup, coming out as bis*xual and entering a relationship with a man, leaving a career field I had been in for 7 years, choosing not to pursue my doctoral program, starting my own business, the development of some really strong boundaries, finding a new passion in marketing, and so much more. Through the pain and confusion, I found out that I was always meant to help people but not in the “traditional” way. I still use my experience and formal education but now I’m blessed to understand how to use it in conjunction with who I actually am, a life coach, a strategic brand consultant, a speaker, a content creator, and the Founder and CEO of a business I feel so aligned with, which includes Scholars of Color. This platform has allowed me to utilize all sides of me to create magic and to connect with people like you. The Scholars of Color Student Scholarship Fundraiser is now live 🎉🎉🎉

Scholars of Color is a platform that I created over two years ago where scholars of color are purposefully celebrated and showcased. It is also a networking space that is made up of people of color from an array of industries, including but not limited to education, STEM, the arts, law, entrepreneurship, etc. Lastly, Scholars of Color is a space where the word Scholar is redefined, making it more inclusive of people from all backgrounds, encompassing anyone that identifies as a person of color and has something to teach or offer the world.

Community involvement is a pillar for us at Scholars of Color. As a part of this commitment to our communities, we at Scholars of Color are initiating a scholarship for current students pursuing a postsecondary education! These scholarships will go towards aiding these students in any college-related expenses they may have and will be open to high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a postsecondary education, regardless of immigration status. Now more than ever, it is important we not only reach students and promote education, but that we also make it affordable.

Our goal is to reach $1000 so any help is appreciated. Please also feel free to share this post with your community. For more information on the fundraiser and to check out the over 100+ Scholars of Color profiles available, please visit https://linktr.ee/ARISEwithLemus.

Here’s the honest truth, NOT EVERYONE DESERVES ACCESS TO ME OR YOU.

Whether it be my time, my services, or my presence, not everyone deserves access to me. This is why boundaries are so important. If we fully give ourselves to others, we run the risk of burn out, losing ourselves, and not having enough time to reflect on what we even want in life.

It’s not our job to convince someone to honor our boundaries. We should not have to convince anyone to respect us. I say this because the truth is that some people are not going to honor your boundaries and may even paint you in a negative light for staying committed to them. Here’s the deal though, while we can’t control other people’s reactions to our boundary setting, we CAN CONTROL our reaction to them not honoring us and our boundaries. We can unfollow, mute, block, unfriend, say no, and so much more. It’s not easy, but it’s necessary.

We deserve to honor our time, our space, and our energy. It’s what will allow us to stay within alignment.

“I don’t have to prove myself to you”. I’ve been thinking about this statement a lot. I meet with so many people that struggle with worthiness issues who feel that in order to be deemed successful and receive an invitation to the table, that they need to “prove themselves”.

But who/what are we trying to prove ourselves to? Are we even thinking about whether or not the tables we want to be invited to are in alignment with what our highest selves want/need?

You’re not alone in this belief. I was one of those people. Especially as a first generation college graduate and professional, I felt like I needed to prove my value. I felt like I needed to prove I was worth listening too, but I realized that what I actually needed to be focusing on was validating myself and my work.

We can show up as our beautiful authentic selves and still be taken seriously. Once we work on ourselves and our worthiness, the universe will provide the right opportunities for us, where we are embraced for who we actually are. This doesn’t mean that we stop trying; instead it brings attention to the inner work needed in order to stop relying on external validation so much.

I don’t have to prove myself to anyone because I know I am worthy. I work hard, am strategic, and work within alignment. I show up as my authentic self and honor my whole being.

This encompasses so much of the work I do with clients of mine and while it’s not easy to move past these thought patterns, it is possible. It is also what will allow ourselves to show up confidently and authentically. That’s transformation and it’s closer than you think.

Public Service Announcement: It’s and LinkedIn now has pronouns and name pronunciation. You can add them by clicking on the arrow to the right of your name on your profile. This will take you to the “Edit Intro” section of the site, where you can record how your name should be pronounced and include your gender pronouns.

I encourage folx , especially on this professional platform to get on and add their pronouns and name pronunciation. Pronouns are not a fad, they are part of people’s identities and should be respected. Names should also be pronounced correctly, regardless of if someone thinks it’s “too hard” to pronounce. Let’s strive for inclusivity.

Have you added yours yet? Comment below if you have 🙋🏽‍♂️

Today is . I officially came out around this time two years ago at 27 years old. I was so nervous then. I was also very scared but at the same time, excited to set myself free.

It’s wild to think about that time in my life because I feel so whole now as a *xual man. In fact showing up as a Latino q***r content creator is a big part of my platform now, so much so that I’ve been on television, podcasts, and other platforms about it.

I show up as my authentic q***r self personally and professionally because I want people to feel not only accepted but embraced for who they truly are. People shouldn’t have to leave their s*xual orientation at home because they feel unsafe. Environments should be inclusive of the diverse identities that make up their community.

My community has been nothing but supportive and I wish this was the norm for more people out there. I wish kids could come out and not worry about their parents disowning them. I wish there were not beliefs that pushed conversion therapy on people. I wish people could marry who they want regardless of s*xual orientation all around the world.

While I wait for that reality to come true, I will continue to advocate for equal rights for those of us in the LGBTQIA community. I will continue to speak out against bigotry and live as happy and free as I can because I deserve to.

I hope to see a day where s*xual fluidity can be spoken about without discomfort. I also hope to see a day where people are allowed to live out their truth.

Q***r folx, we are magical, powerful, and blessed. Let us celebrate our existence today and everyday.

Today is International *xualvisibilityday and I’m showing up here more visible than ever ❤️💜💙

👀 Bis*xuals make up more than 50% of the LGBTQIA community, yet we are constantly left out of the conversation when q***rness is discussed.

👀While there are more openly bis*xual people out there, representation of Bis*xual folx in the media continues to be low.

👀Bis*xual people face biphobia and bi erasure constantly because people can’t “seem to figure us out”. Questions or phrases like “Aren’t they just in a phase?” or “They cant make up their mind” are common.

So let’s clarify some things:

❤️No, we are not in a phase. No, we are not confused.

💜We deserve to not only be accepted, but also embraced. We don’t need to be tokenized either. We need representation and compensation at that.

💙We are also capable of multiple types of love, including monogamy.

🗣 I’m here today as a proud bis*xual latino man to bring upon awareness. Let’s continue the conversation and learn from each other. Let’s embrace one another for the whole people we are.

Let’s talk Bis*xual+ Awareness Week ❤️💜💙

Did you know that the largest self-identified group within the LGBT community is bis*xual yet research on bis*xual people is limited? Bis*xuals often experience discrimination from heteros*xual folx but also folx within the LGBTQ community.

Biphobia and Bi Erasure are two forms of what impacts bis*xual folx and how discrimination can show up. From people saying bis*xuality is a phase or assuming someone’s s*xuality simply because who they are with (i.e. a bis*xual man being called gay simply because they are in a same s*x relationship) to thinking bis*xual folx are selfish, promiscuous, or just “can’t make up their mind”, biphobia and bi erasure exists.

I’m here as a proud Bis*xual man to tell you the stereotypes are not true. We are a diverse group of people and we are not going through a phase. Now more than ever, bis*xual folx are speaking up, showing up loudly, and being unapologetic about it.

Let’s educate ourselves, embrace people’s identities, and learn from each other. Oh, and in case you needed a reminder, *xualmenexist. Shoutout to for creating the hashtag.

Happy Bis*xual+ Awareness Week 🎉
