Youth Exercise Series #19
​The FitFam Memory Chain Challenge! 🧠💪
​In Youth Series 19, April and Bella are taking on one of our favorite ways to mix brain power with body power. We call it the "Memory Chain," and it’s a game-changer for keeping kids engaged while they move!

​The Rules:
1️⃣ Start with the phrase: "I’m getting stronger today by..."
2️⃣ Add one rep of an exercise.
3️⃣ The next person repeats the phrase, the first exercise, and adds a NEW one!

​The Girls' Lineup:
​Squat 🍑
​Push-up 🧱
​Jumping Jack ✨
​Big Jump 🚀
​Cartwheel 🤸‍♀️

​They made it to 5, but we want to see if your squad can hit 10 without missing a beat! It’s harder than it looks once those heart rates get up!

​The Goal: Building healthy habits doesn't have to be a chore. Make it a game, make it a challenge, and watch them lead the way.

You don’t rise to the level of your goals; you fall to the level of your systems. 🛡️✨

​If you want a different result in 2026, you have to run a different play. In Mindset & Wellness 2, I’m breaking down the four-step "Inner Armor" routine that keeps me locked in as a father, a businessman, and a coach.
​The FitFam Blueprint:

1️⃣ Mental Fuel: Starting with Gratitude and Audiobooks. If you don’t feed your mind first thing in the morning, the world will feed it for you. 🎧🙏

2️⃣ The Maintenance: Foam Rolling and Stretching. Staying in the game long-term requires taking care of the machine.

3️⃣ Manifesting: Visualizing Goals and Dreams. I take time in nature to get clear on exactly where the Sherman family is headed. 🌲🚶‍♂️

4️⃣ Meditation: Breathwork in the Sauna. The heat helps me sweat the stress and lock in the vision. 🧖‍♂️🌬️

​Fitness is the foundation, but these habits are the fuel. When you win the morning, you win the day.

Fueling the next generation! 🥤🍓

​In Nutrition Series #6, Bella is showing us how she replenishes her body after a big day of movement. We’re making an Orgain Organic protein shake, but there’s a lesson behind the blender!

​The FitFam Approach to Kids & Protein:

​Earn the Burn: We don’t use these as meal replacements. They are a "special treat" reserved for after a hard workout, a long day of outdoor play, or finishing those heavy chores!

​The "Clean" Standard: Always look for clean, organic ingredients. No artificial junk or hidden sugars.

​Boost the Nutrition: We always blend in real fruit! Today it’s bananas and blueberries for those antioxidants and natural energy.

​The Education: By having Bella make it herself, she’s learning that food is fuel. She’s learning how to take care of her muscles so she can stay strong and active.

​Pro-Tip: For kids, whole foods (eggs, chicken, beans) should always come first. But for a post-activity recovery drink? A clean, fruit-packed shake is a win-win!

The weight in my arms is the best kind of heavy. You know that feeling, FitFam. There will be a last time I get to carry her in from the truck, and I'm not ready for that day yet. I’m going to build the strength—physical and mental—to make that 'last time' a few more years down the road.
