🌟 How I Navigated A Completely Free, Intuitive Pregnancy and Home Birth
First and foremost, this is a no judgement zone. This journey is not for everyone. Only you know your body, your limits, and your abilities.
💚 I was my own doctor. I embraced that I was fully in control of my wellness, with the guidance of TMH, I could heal my mind, body, and Spirit without systematic influence. I never received an ultrasound or attended an appointment with an OBGYN, medical physician, or a midwife. Personally, I couldn't afford a midwife or find one that was aligned. I also did not feel comfortable at all in medical spaces.
🌿In order to maintain my health, I was sure to eat well, as well as I could. Later in my pregnancy, I struggled to keep up with my nutrition and I experienced nausea and stomach discomfort from eating disagreeable foods. I used herbs like chamomile, ginger, and red raspberry to assist with my wellness. I also stayed active, I have two toddlers and am a stay at home mom so I was able to focus on myself on these ways.
🫂I struggled a lot with my family in terms of emotional and physical support. I was also newly single and not in a strong relationship with my child's father. Support during this pregnancy came from unexpected places. My birth worker was amazing and empowering of course. I was fortunate to have found her when I did. She believed in my vision and helped me to stay consistent. I also confided in spiritual guides that poured into me and assisted with my healing during this process. Many of them, I met through social media, so much of my support was not physically near me rather they were energetically present.
💫Since I believe that birth and pregnancy is primarily spiritual in its essence, I focused heavily on building my spiritual and intuitive connection. I prayed consistently, journaled, meditated, and have conversations with my baby and nature. This helped me to know when my body was in and out of balance and to gauge my energy.
My intuitive pregnancy journey was amazing and I am grateful to have experienced a safe, healthy home birth. Up until the week that I went into labor, I did not have a space to birth my baby comfortably.
