✨️Afterbirth Journey✨️

The 4th trimester is real. Pregnancy may be over, but the childrearing has just begun. Even when you have multiple babies, it doesn't make that 4th trimester easier and sometimes it can be more difficult depending on your situation. For me, healing from this pregnancy is just the icing on the cake because I am literally healing from my previous two pregnancies still. I have 3 under 3 and am only 22. These are the things I've had to create some awareness around during my personal afterbirth journey.

🫂Support systems are vital! The ability to rest and release responsibility is revolutionary. A mama who can identify her needs and call out for support with confidence is a powerful mama.
🤞🏾When you have multiple children, it can be easy to get lost in all of the energy output. Remember that it's okay to trust your older children with independent time and there are many ways to have time together pouring into each individual child.
🍲You have to eat for your energy reservoirs, do not skimp on the foods! Meal prep, food delivery, helpful family, postpartum doula that can cook... utilize your resources!
💗Always check in with your self. Check in with your mind, body, and Spirit. Be sure to tend to those needs once they're identified.

Give yourself time to find your new balance. There's no rush, move at your pace, and don't force it!

🧘🏾‍♀️ Successful Lotus Birth 🧘🏾‍♀️

Radical moment, a successful, radical home birth. 👏🏾

Birth trauma has been passed through my family and it was time to rewrite that story. Family trauma has rained down on my bloodline for generations and it's time to rewrite that story. 💯 This was ancestral. A powerful woman, creating sacred space around her experience, her baby, and her body.

A Lotus birth is when you leave the entire placenta attached until it dehydrates and detaches on it's own. You can place herbs and sea salt on the placenta to assist in drying and protection of the organ as well as assisting with smell as placenta dries.

🌟 How I Navigated A Completely Free, Intuitive Pregnancy and Home Birth

First and foremost, this is a no judgement zone. This journey is not for everyone. Only you know your body, your limits, and your abilities.

💚 I was my own doctor. I embraced that I was fully in control of my wellness, with the guidance of TMH, I could heal my mind, body, and Spirit without systematic influence. I never received an ultrasound or attended an appointment with an OBGYN, medical physician, or a midwife. Personally, I couldn't afford a midwife or find one that was aligned. I also did not feel comfortable at all in medical spaces.
🌿In order to maintain my health, I was sure to eat well, as well as I could. Later in my pregnancy, I struggled to keep up with my nutrition and I experienced nausea and stomach discomfort from eating disagreeable foods. I used herbs like chamomile, ginger, and red raspberry to assist with my wellness. I also stayed active, I have two toddlers and am a stay at home mom so I was able to focus on myself on these ways.
🫂I struggled a lot with my family in terms of emotional and physical support. I was also newly single and not in a strong relationship with my child's father. Support during this pregnancy came from unexpected places. My birth worker was amazing and empowering of course. I was fortunate to have found her when I did. She believed in my vision and helped me to stay consistent. I also confided in spiritual guides that poured into me and assisted with my healing during this process. Many of them, I met through social media, so much of my support was not physically near me rather they were energetically present.
💫Since I believe that birth and pregnancy is primarily spiritual in its essence, I focused heavily on building my spiritual and intuitive connection. I prayed consistently, journaled, meditated, and have conversations with my baby and nature. This helped me to know when my body was in and out of balance and to gauge my energy.

My intuitive pregnancy journey was amazing and I am grateful to have experienced a safe, healthy home birth. Up until the week that I went into labor, I did not have a space to birth my baby comfortably.

If anyone is looking for a training program, I highly recommend checking this ancestral/spiritual course out! I enjoyed this program so much and the community that comes along with it has been amazing and extremely resourceful as well. This course was my start to birth work and how I answered the call to serve!

Yasmintheresa, who leads the training, also has a great journal resource for birth workers. She shares a lot of ancestral/traditional wisdom and she is pairing with her amazing sister who is an energy worker, to share the beauty and honoring of both truths that are necessary to tap into when it comes to assisting in bringing forth life. 💯

Contact me if you need any more info, I want to share for any birth workers who may be interested in spiritual insight around birth. We are powerful when we tap into the wisdom and teachings of our cultures and traditions.

A few months after I gave birth to my first child, the weather was getting cool and the holidays were approaching. I went to visit a friend and I ended up receiving vital game from an elder. It was December and I had just had a baby that August, I wearing plastic birkenstock style sandals with no socks, skinny jeans, and a thin hoodie with just a sports bra underneath. She looked at me said "Girl, don't you know that you need to be dressed warmer than that?" I'm rolling my eyes, thinking 💭 Here she go 💭 I said, "Ms. Rosemary, I'm good. I'm not cold." Little did I know.. my outsides may have been good enough but how was this really affecting me? She went on to say "You just had a baby. You at least need socks on your feet, to help heal and keep you warm inside." At that time, those words still wasn't resonating with me. I didn't hear her for real.

Fast forward, I'm pregnant with my daughter, watching home births, trying to prepare for her arrival. One birth I'm watching, the Mother is wearing socks, her birth support explains the importance of socks during labor and even in the fourth trimester. I think back on Ms. Rosemary's words and how I didn't really receive her guidance. I start to research this information and there I find it. Ms. Rosemary's words and all the support to back it up. I bet you I stayed warm and covered up that winter following the birth of my daughter.

One takeaway from this is, even with the disconnect between generations, there is power in the messages of our Elders. The other, keep your feet and your body warm girl! A warm womb is vital to a healthy uterus, and to good blood flow! Warm wombs can also correspond with optimum fertility. 💯

Yoni Breathing 🌸

Yoni breathing is the practice of connecting the breath with the womb. Bringing awareness to your womb space with breath.

How to Yoni Breathe?
Yoni Breathing is rhythmic breath synchronized with the contracting of the va**na. The best way to put it, in my words, is intentional kegels. Inhaling and exhaling as you squeeze and release your pelvic floor. You can sit in a seat or lay down. This is best done in sensual attire, loose fitting clothing (silk robe), or completely n**e. One hand covers your womb space, the other covers your heart. With awareness, connect your breath with intentional contracting of the va**na. Do this for several breaths, or several minutes.

Benefits of Yoni Breathing:
-Strengthens pelvic floor
-Enhances connection to Yoni
-Increases intuitive and psychic ability
-Enhances sensual experiences
-Deepens pleasure
-Awakens sexual energy and ability to harness it
-Connects you with your femininity

The first step to caring for your womb, is acknowledging her. Giving thanks to her. Conversing with her.

🧚🏾‍♀️I acknowledge my womb and her power.
🧚🏾‍♀️I hear the voice of my womb clearly.
🧚🏾‍♀️I listen to the needs and desires of my womb and I tend to her callings.

Wombmen, we are at the center of creation. The universe shifts as we awaken. How are you meeting the needs of your seat of creation? How are you caring for your womb space?
