The Region 3 Healthcare Coalition strives to be the agency promoting the coordination of an “All Hazards” emergency healthcare preparedness program that collaborates and coordinates not just hospital, EMS and ot

her health providers but actively works to promote a strong interagency emergency response and coordination which includes Tribal, Emergency Management and Public Health partners in order to provide leadership and expertise to the region through healthcare facility planning, prevention, response, and recovery efforts.

Now available: April Preparedness Lunch and Learn Recording

The Service Animals and Emergency Preparedness session, presented by the Great Lakes ADA Center, is now available to view.

This training provides an overview of:
• What is and is not an ADA service animal
• Behavior, access protections, and limits
• Special considerations for service animals during emergencies
• Service animals under federal, state, and local laws

The training also covers emergency planning requirements, including the need to account for service animals in preparedness, response, and recovery activities.

📣 ICS 400 Course – Additional Seats Available!

Additional spots have opened for our upcoming ICS 400: Advanced Incident Command and General Staff Complex Incidents course. If you or members of your organization need this training, we encourage you to register soon, as space is limited. Registration deadline for this event is June 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

👥 Who Should Attend
ICS 400 is designed for personnel who may serve in Command or General Staff roles during complex or large-scale incidents, including leaders from Emergency Management, Public Safety, Public Health, Healthcare, Other agencies involved in incident coordination.

✅ Prerequisites: Participants must complete ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 300, ICS 700, and ICS 800 prior to attending the course and download thier FEMA certificates to the registration site by June 8, 2026.

🚨 Region 3 Hospital Emergency Response Training (HERT) Opportunity 🚨

This nationally recognized training prepares healthcare and emergency personnel to safely and effectively respond to mass‑casualty incidents, including contaminated or high‑volume patient situations.

This course teaches participants how to:
✔️ Operate within the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS)
✔️ Establish and manage an Emergency Treatment Area
✔️ Conduct effective triage operations
✔️ Perform ambulatory and non‑ambulatory decontamination procedures

Who Should Attend? This course is ideal for:
