Bliss, or Ananda, is our default inner space, our true nature that exists beyond the fluctuations of the mind and the external world. It is the eternal, unchanging essence of our being that shines through the veil of maya (illusion) in our consciousness.
Bliss can be described as:
Our True Self: It is the pure, unbounded consciousness that is our fundamental nature, untouched by the transient experiences of life.
Ever-present: Bliss is not something to be achieved or created; it is always there, waiting to be recognized and experienced.
Indestructible: Unlike fleeting happiness dependent on external circumstances, true bliss cannot be diminished or destroyed. It remains constant through all of life's ups and downs.
Beyond Duality: Bliss transcends the dualities of pleasure and pain, gain and loss. It is a state of completeness where nothing is lacking.
Self-luminous: Just as the sun doesn't need another source to shine, bliss is self-luminous. It radiates from within, illuminating our entire being.
The Substratum of Existence: Bliss is the underlying reality upon which all experiences are superimposed, like waves on the ocean.
Our Birthright: We don't need to earn or deserve bliss; it is our natural state, our divine inheritance.
When we peel away the layers of conditioning, desires, and identifications, what remains is this pure, unadulterated bliss - our true self shining in all its glory.
Experiencing this bliss is not about adding something new, but about removing the obstructions that prevent us from recognizing what has always been there. It's like clearing the clouds to reveal the ever-present sun.
Remember, in every moment, this bliss is available to us. It's not separate from us; it is us. Our journey is simply to recognize and abide in this truth.
Blessings on your path! 🙏🏼samarpini@truthtojoytherapy.com
