We are looking for a few wonderful people to join our work family! Positions are available in both housekeeping and dietary.

Two part-time positions are currently available in the dietary department. The position helps prepare food, delivers meals, performs wait service duties, washes dishes (machine and hand wash) and puts stock away.

A full-time position is available in the housekeeping department. Housekeepers clean, sanitize, and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, assisting in providing a sanitary and comfortable environment.

Employee spotlight – Michaela S. – Resident Care Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (RCA/CNA)

Michaela started at Hazel Findlay in October after earning her CNA. She is a senior at Fowler High School. Michaela has AED and CPR certifications that she earned while participating in the Allied Health Clinton County RESA program.

What do you like best about working at Hazel Findlay? “I love interacting with our residents here in a personal way. Assisting them in their specific needs is so rewarding. I love talking with them and getting to know them individually.”

Fun facts – “I will begin attending Franciscan University in Steubenville in the fall to pursue a career in nursing.”

Employee spotlight – Lyndae S. - RN

While Lyndae only started at Hazel Findlay as an RN about a year ago, she came to us with more than 30 years of nursing experience. That included emergency and med-surge units as well as teaching.

What do you like best about working at Hazel Findlay? “Enjoy the family environment. Residents are well cared for. Everything is very clean and well kept.”

Fun Fact: "I am only 15 years old." She is a leap year baby; therefore, she never gets old. 😆😆

Dreaming of warmer weather...today we made Poolside Dip with fresh strawberries, banana and vanilla wafers. YUM! 🍓🍌😍

Ingredients
1 cup orange juice
1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup plain Greek-style yogurt
1 (8 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed
For serving: strawberries, pineapple, grapes, mango spears, apple slices, or other fruit of choice or crackers

Instructions
Whisk together orange juice and pudding mix for approximately 30 seconds – 1 minute, or until it starts to thicken and become smooth. Whisk in yogurt.
Gently fold in whipped topping. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve with a variety of your favorite fresh fruit.

We had a wonderful time at our St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl! Our fun treats included N/A beer, pretzels and cheese, Shamrock Shakes, cookies, St. Patrick's Day punch and Leprechaun Dip. YUM!!
