Here at AgroLiquid, we want to make it easy for you. That's why we offer the Back to Basics video series, which takes in-depth look at the nutrients that make a difference in your crop.

We go in the order that of a soil test analysis to help you understand the role each nutrient plays, how it interacts with other nutrients in the soil, and more. Each video is between three and six minutes long and focuses on a specific category on a soil test analysis.

Agronomist Reid Abbott was in Yuma, CO last week to check research plots at the Irrigation Research Foundation. Unfortunately, the area was hit with a hail and wind storm that caused significant damage. But, these are the realities of farming, you can't control Mother Nature. We will still learn something from these plots. Stay tuned to learn along with us!

Great seeds, nice rainfall, and ideal weather?

Your crop’s potential still hinges on the soil. Quality starts with the foundation.

So...what can you do to manage soil that's out of balance? AgroLiquid can help. 🌾

No matter if you have great seeds, the right amount of water, and the best temperatures…your crop is only going to be as good as the soil where it’s planted. You simply can’t achieve as high of quality crops with inferior raw materials. There are a variety of strategies for managing soil that....

For many growers, well water is a reliable source for irrigation and fertilizer application. But what if it’s affecting your crop’s potential and profits? Understanding the chemistry of your well water is important for fertilizer efficiency and maintaining soil health over time.

Reid Abbott, AgroLiquid field agronomy manager, discusses this issue:

Testing your water source can help you be more efficient with fertilizer use, maintain soil health, and ultimately help with a better crop.

It’s difficult to keep everything in balance, especially when you’re dealing with so many variables. Soil, weather, rainfall – everything adds to or detracts from a healthy product. So what can you do to help❓

Balanced soils deliver fertility more efficiently to your crops, and one of the best ways to measure this balance is to look at the base saturation percentage of the cations in your soil.

All four AgroLiquid interns were able to attend the Ag PhD event last weekend!

From intern Jack R:

“It was a unique experience to learn about many different sides of agriculture. From learning about the newest planter and sprayer technology, to an in-depth discussion about corn and soybeans growth stages, on to how to properly scout fields, to where future technology is going to take us and how we can use it to benefit our practices...it was inspiring to see just how many young individuals are passionate about the future of agriculture.

My favorite part of the event was Darren and Brian Hefty allowing us to ask questions about their thoughts and opinions on agricultural topics live on their daily radio program. It is awesome how available those guys are to young individuals like us. It was a great experience, and I am thankful for the opportunity. I would recommend the Ag PhD Scouting & Scholarships event for anyone.”
