Hit a few hurdles in the past recent weeks, and these words are the wisdom I need to adhere to…

Creekwood Acres exists to prove that meaningful work, family, land, and craft can coexist without sacrificing the human spirit. It is not built for speed, scale, or spectacle, but for integrity, patience, and hands that know how to turn vision into reality. Every structure, path, and gathering place is meant to restore awe—not ego—by inviting people to create, learn, and belong. Creekwood will grow only in ways that honor the body, protect the family, and sustain the builder, trusting that what is made with care, truth, and time will endure longer than anything forced by urgency or fear.

Makers Fix Night at Creekwood Acres

Somewhere along the way, we stopped repairing things and started replacing them. Once a month, we’re opening the shop at Creekwood Acres to slow that down a bit. Bring the item you were about to discard. Learn how it functions. Repair what you can. Just gauging interest… a maximum of 10 people on a date to be determined based on feedback. Most likely one day a month on a weekday eve.
