Urban Escape Healing Urban Escape Healing exists to deepen our connection to mind-body-spirit. I am the founder and owner of Urban Escape Healing. Healing is a lifestyle for me.

I believe that the human body has the ability to heal itself and that everything we need is within us, found throughout nature and the cosmos. I work to be a bridge between science and spirituality, while staying grounded and approachable. My goal is to illuminate patterns and blockages that are holding you back from a thriving version of yourself. I can do this through the body and the chakra/meridian system. After creating the awareness, I move unstuck energy and physical blockages in the body to return flow. I am here to help you remember who you are and breakthrough into an embodied life. Over 10 years ago, Reiki was the “gateway” energy healing therapy that led me into deeper exploration of consciousness and inspired me to take more courses in the Healing Arts. I now know I will be a lifelong student. Currently, I have completed level II as a Craniosacral Practitioner and will continue to deepen my practice. Sound (not even just music!) may be the MOST important part of my life as I’ve been drumming since I was a kid. Throughout the last decade +, I’ve learned new instruments (didgeridoo, gong, flute, etc.) and have begun to tap into the deeper power of sounds and frequencies. I am currently studying Acutonics(R) Level II, a potent sound healing modality with specially calibrated tuning forks. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist, a 2016 graduate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL. I practice an integrative form of Massage & Bodywork with influences from the east (Tui Na, Shiatsu, Thai, Reflexology) and the west (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Clinical) . The culmination is a session to give you what YOU need. Aromatherapy and the power of scent is an important element throughout my sessions and life. I’ve been using, working with, and teaching about essential oils for the last decade. I have recently become the father to a strong beautiful baby girl. My wife and I are enjoying growing young with her and learning lessons every day. This informs my work and helps me see deeper into life. Mind, body, and spirit is reached through my sensory and elemental approach to healing. I enjoy holding a space where you can be heard and your individual needs can be met. I am transformation and so are YOU.

🌿 Alternate Nostril Breathing
A simple breath practice that brings your system back into harmony. Balance your yin and yang energies while calming the mind, and steadying the heart. 🕊️

Close your right nostril and inhale through the left, then switch and exhale through the right. Inhale through the right, exhale through the left: that’s one round. I use my index finger to close the nostrils. Repeat for a few minutes, keeping your breath slow and steady. 🌬️

This breath clears stagnant energy, balances both sides of the brain, and soothes the nervous system. Over time, it deepens your presence and restores your natural flow of vitality. 🌕🌑

A regulated nervous system is the foundation of a strong digestive fire. When we’re in “fight or flight,” the body redirects energy away from digestion toward survival… muscles tighten, breath shortens, and our Qi becomes scattered. In Oriental medicine, this weakens the Spleen and Stomach Qi, creating fatigue, bloating, or that heavy, foggy feeling. But when the body feels safe, Qi returns to the center. The gut warms, peristalsis flows smoothly, and nourishment can be properly transformed into usable life force.

Digestion is not just about food, it’s about how we process life. When our system is calm, we can truly assimilate experiences instead of rushing past them. The solar plexus (our inner sun) becomes a source of radiance and personal power rather than tension or suppression. We begin to sense intuition arising from the belly, guiding us: what to take in, what to release, what to transmute.

Science supports this ancient knowing. A balanced parasympathetic state activates the vagus nerve, improving enzyme production, nutrient absorption, and gut microbiome diversity. This deep rest-and-digest state not only feeds the body but also refines emotional and energetic digestion. When your nervous system feels safe, your gut remembers wisdom, and your energy, mind, and spirit move as one.

When your nervous system is calm, your entire being begins to reorganize. The breath deepens, the heart softens, and the mind clears. In Oriental medicine, this is when Qi, the body’s vital life force, can move freely through the meridians without obstruction. When Qi is flowing, the body finds its natural rhythm again: tension eases, pain diminishes, and your internal landscape feels spacious and alive. This is the foundation of all healing, harmony within your inner terrain.

Modern science mirrors this ancient wisdom. When the autonomic nervous system finds balance, heart rate variability (HRV) increases, a physiological marker of adaptability and resilience. A regulated nervous system isn’t just relaxed; it’s responsive. It allows you to meet life with calm power, fluid boundaries, and a steady center.
