Urban Escape Healing

Urban Escape Healing Urban Escape Healing exists to deepen our connection to mind-body-spirit. I am the founder and owner of Urban Escape Healing. Healing is a lifestyle for me.

I believe that the human body has the ability to heal itself and that everything we need is within us, found throughout nature and the cosmos. I work to be a bridge between science and spirituality, while staying grounded and approachable. My goal is to illuminate patterns and blockages that are holding you back from a thriving version of yourself. I can do this through the body and the chakra/meridian system. After creating the awareness, I move unstuck energy and physical blockages in the body to return flow. I am here to help you remember who you are and breakthrough into an embodied life. Over 10 years ago, Reiki was the “gateway” energy healing therapy that led me into deeper exploration of consciousness and inspired me to take more courses in the Healing Arts. I now know I will be a lifelong student. Currently, I have completed level II as a Craniosacral Practitioner and will continue to deepen my practice. Sound (not even just music!) may be the MOST important part of my life as I’ve been drumming since I was a kid. Throughout the last decade +, I’ve learned new instruments (didgeridoo, gong, flute, etc.) and have begun to tap into the deeper power of sounds and frequencies. I am currently studying Acutonics(R) Level II, a potent sound healing modality with specially calibrated tuning forks. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist, a 2016 graduate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL. I practice an integrative form of Massage & Bodywork with influences from the east (Tui Na, Shiatsu, Thai, Reflexology) and the west (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Clinical) . The culmination is a session to give you what YOU need. Aromatherapy and the power of scent is an important element throughout my sessions and life. I’ve been using, working with, and teaching about essential oils for the last decade. I have recently become the father to a strong beautiful baby girl. My wife and I are enjoying growing young with her and learning lessons every day. This informs my work and helps me see deeper into life. Mind, body, and spirit is reached through my sensory and elemental approach to healing. I enjoy holding a space where you can be heard and your individual needs can be met. I am transformation and so are YOU.

Forearm Rocking
Mobility + Stretch

Start seated on your knees, hips resting back toward your heels.
Place your hands on the ground in front of you with fingers pointing back toward your body.

Gently rock your hips back, keeping your palms rooted and fingers grounded.
Move slow, steady, and with awareness.

Build up reps at your own pace, then finish by sinking into a still hold—hips dropping toward your heels, opening through the front of the arms and chest.

This practice helps open the Heart and Lung pathways: supporting breath, emotional release, and a deeper sense of compassion.

It’s especially powerful if you carry tension in your hands, forearms, or chest from overworking, gripping, or constantly “doing.”

You may feel subtle unwinding not just physically, but emotionally.

What it supports:
• Gentle decompression through the upper spine
• More freedom in the shoulders, chest, and breath
• Circulation of energy into the arms for giving, creating, and connecting

Strengthens:
Forearm flexors, wrist stability, shoulder stabilizers

Stretches:
Forearm extensors, biceps, chest

Fascial hydration:
Front arm lines + deep front body connection

Progress over time:build toward higher reps and longer holds.

Long-term goal:
~90 reps + 90-second hold

Wrist Extensor Reset
Mobility + Stretch

Sit with legs extended.
Gently pull the fingers of one hand down to open the forearm.

Tuck chin, hinge forward, and rock in and out of the stretch.
After your reps, hold the forward position and breathe.
Switch sides.

Supports:

• Releases wrist extensors, hamstrings, spine
• Activates core + neck stabilizers
• Hydrates the Superficial Back Line + dorsal arm line
• Stimulates Large Intestine meridian + Triple Burner meridian

Helps unwind “gripping” patterns—
inviting softness, release, and nervous system balance.

Progression:

Build reps → then hold final stretch
Work toward ~90 reps + 90-second hold

Windshield Wiper Hips — Mobility + Stretch Series

This movement is a simple but powerful way to restore freedom in the hips. Moving side to side like windshield wipers, it helps unwind stiffness from sitting, tight inner thighs, and restricted hip rotation…making it especially beneficial for anyone feeling stuck or limited in their lower body.

As you flow through the reps, you’re strengthening the hip flexors, glutes, and core stabilizers while opening the adductors and deep hip rotators. The motion also brings elasticity back to the connective tissues through the hips and side body, while improving coordination and teaching the brain more efficient, supported movement patterns. Crossing through center and shifting side to side enhances communication between the left and right sides of the body, creating more balance and control.

This practice supports the Wood element: encouraging adaptability, growth, and smoother transitions in both body and life. It also balances the Root and Sacral centers, helping you feel more grounded, safe, and emotionally fluid. Move through as many reps as feel right, then pause with your legs folded to each side, hands in prayer, allowing the stretch to settle in. Over time, build toward longer holds and more reps, creating lasting mobility and ease through the hips.
