Another bright morning spent playing, reading, and creating together at Play Cafe.

How to paint w a balloon:
Fill a small balloon with water and tie shut. Add string. Sq**rt paint on paper and encourage kids to bounce their balloons up and down in the paint. You can sing or chant fun “bounce” songs or poems while you create. Try to bounce two balloons, one in each hand, as you enjoy this process art. The finished pieces are pretty cool, too!

High chair balloon game:
Tape a balloon to the high chair and encourage baby to reach for the balloon. Your child can sit in the high chair or on the floor beneath.

Pictured are a few of our favorite balloon, bounce, and bubble themed books.

Paper balloons:
Offer your child several different mediums to choose from. Today we offered paint sticks, dobbers, water color paints, and crayons. Color the balloon then practice those scissor skills to cut out the balloon. Tie a piece of yarn to the tail and TA DA!

Don’t let the magic of play pass you by. Join us at Play Cafe!

Today the kids gave the babies bubble baths - always a big hit. Plus, we explored painting with water balloons by bouncing them up and down on paper covered with squirts of paint.

What a super day at Play Cafe’s “Bounce, Balloons, Balance, and Bubbles.”

Here’s the “how to” for a couple of today’s favorite activities:

Hang balloons from the ceiling to bop about or paint.

Blow up balloons and bop with a pool noodle wand.

Bubble Foam Recipe:
Mix 2 parts water and 1 part Mr. Bubbles tear free bubble bath then use a hand mixer to beat until foamy.
