Data-Driven: Resident Aims to Drive Simulation-Based Learning
The Metro Minnesota Council on Graduate Medical Education (MMCGME) held its 6th Annual Quality Forum in May, promoting the sharing of ideas and innovations developed by trainees across specialties and institutions within the local medical education community. It included an education session, poster competition, and reception for residents. New Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship Program at Regions Hospital
With the start of the 2018-2019 academic year, we are introducing a longitudinal integrated clerkship (LIC) experience at Regions Hospital. Dr. Paul Skarda, Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine, has been the driving force behind this major project. The guiding principles for the LIC are those that also define the culture of HealthPartners and Regions Hospital. The Office of Health Professional Education is excited to welcome the 2017-2019 fellows who will join our Medical Toxicology fellowship program based at Regions Hospital. The program is a collaborative effort between HealthPartners Institute for Education and Research/Regions Hospital, Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), and the Hennepin Regional Poison Center (HRPC). The program has been accredited by the ACGME since 2005 and received a 5-year accreditation in 2008.
