The Minnesota Department of Health announced the 2025 MN Rural Health Award recipients ahead of Rural Health Day — & two outstanding MAFP members are being recognized!

🏅 Joseph Corser, MD (Sanford Health Bemidji & Bagley Medical Centers) received the Rural Health Lifetime Provider Award for his work improving health care delivery & addressing critical gaps across Greater MN.

🏅 Ray Christensen, MD (Associate Dean for Rural Health, University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth Campus), pictured, received the Lifetime Commitment to Rural Health Education Award for his decades of leadership expanding rural training pathways for students.
