✨ Reflections are more than memories they are mirrors.
They show us not only where we’ve been, but who we’ve become in the process. When I come home this is the one place I always come to, to do just that "reflect" so many wonderful memories were shared in this backyard in front of this lake. Some of the best times of my life with family and friends were in this very spot and I can never imagine not having it.

In A Son’s Reckoning With Family, I explore the echoes of absence, the weight of silence, and the resilience born from reckoning with generational wounds. Reflection is not passive it is an act of courage, a choice to face truth and transform pain into possibility.

As I look back, I see not just loss, but the seeds of healing. My memoir is both a personal journey and a communal invitation: to reflect, to repair, and to reimagine what family can mean. Talking to my Aunt and Uncle about it this morning and listening to them share how reading it impacted them was so moving and it made me feel good to finally be able to share it with them.
