Back to School & Aging Parents?
Here's How to Keep it All Together
If you're managing college drop-offs and doctor appointments for your aging parent in the same week... you're not alone.
Welcome to the Sandwich Generation, where midlife men and women like you are doing it all. And it's exhausting.
But it doesn't have to be overwhelming. Here are 5 survival tips to help you keep your peace (and your power) as this new season kicks off:
1. Color Code Your Calendar
Use different colors for your kids, your parents, and yourself. It helps with visual clarity and reduces mental load.
2. Ask For Help (and Accept it)
Whether it's a rideshare for your teen or a neighbor checking in on Dad, receiving help is not weakness.
3. Embrace "Good Enough"
Dinner doesn't need to be from scratch. Showing up late to back to school night happens. You're doing enough.
4. Delegate Senior Care Research
Looking for a safe place for your aging parent? That's what I'm here for. I help families find independent living, assisted living, and memory care homes at no cost to you.
5. Reclaim 15 minutes.
Each day, find 15 minutes that are only yours. Meditate, Journal, sit in silence, you matter too.
When the time comes to explore senior living options, message me. I'll take the stress off your plate.
